Liquid Snow Shovel is an environmentally friendly, clean, odorless product that is biodegradable, non-hazardous, non-staining and will not leave a white residue on carpets. Just spray it on surface to keep sidewalks, parking lots and roadways clear of hazardous snow and ice without harmful salt or back-breaking shoveling. Once applied, Liquid Snow Shovel's residual power stays effective for future snowfalls because shoveling or plowing won't remove the product. Liquid Snow Shovel is a great addition to your ice and snow-removal arsenal, significantly reducing the amount you will need to use snow blowers, plows and shovels.

The best way is to apply before the storm. It takes less melt of any kind to prohibit snow from forming than it is to have to remove.
Be careful with metal anything and liquids. Metals can become very slippery when using liquid Ice Melts.
Application rates are as follows: 300 square feet per gallon for concrete applications and 1200 per square feet per gallon for asphalt applications
Afternoon Scotty, We apologize for the late response. We recommend only applying to Concrete or Asphalt. With canvas awning the Calcium Chloride may soften the fabric itself shortening the life of the Canvas.
You could but it would take way to much product to be effective. I tried it on a small parking lot and it was good for a short time. It was a very dry year in Western Slope Colorado. I would find something else. But I love this product for snow!!! I use it every year!
