Asked by danc July 6, 2017instructions show 2 brackets for 10' model and 3 brackets for 12' model The outside brackets on the 10' model that I have is mounted outside the "shoulders" that hold the awning when mounted. It shows the 12' model has one additional bracket that would be mounted in the center of the awning. All brackets must be installed in a stud, so that will help guide where they are mounted.

What level wind can this withstand?

Advaning's retractable awnings are manufactured to the highest of standards and with top quality materials, with proper care and maintenance can last for many years. However, due to variables such as awning size, awning projection, installation type, weather conditions, and general care / maintenance, Advaning does not have a wind rating that can be applied to every situation. Advaning recommends customers to exercise caution whenever consistent gusts or windy conditions are in the forecast. As a general rule for any retractable awning, Advaning also recommends to keep any retractable awning closed if/when any wind gusts exceed 7 knots or 8 MPH. Does the awning have to be extended out fully & do you have to adjust it down after extending it?
Asked by 1234AA June 15, 2016All Advaning awnings can be opened and stopped at any point up to the fully extended distance. For manual awnings, the projection distance can be adjusted/stopped by using a hand crank (included). For electric awnings, the projection distance can be adjusted/stopped by simply pressing "Stop" on the remote control (included). I have only 7 1/2 feet of height. Why wouldn't the awning work (10 feet are required) ?
