What level wind can this withstand?

Advaning's retractable awnings are manufactured to the highest of standards and with top quality materials, with proper care and maintenance can last for many years. However, due to variables such as awning size, awning projection, installation type, weather conditions, and general care / maintenance, Advaning does not have a wind rating that can be applied to every situation. Advaning recommends customers to exercise caution whenever consistent gusts or windy conditions are in the forecast. As a general rule for any retractable awning, Advaning also recommends to keep any retractable awning closed if/when any wind gusts exceed 7 knots or 8 MPH. We always recommend the home owner to consult with a professional installer/contractor for a specific installation that does not follow our standard wall or soffit installation guide. Asked by Don February 22, 2018Thank you for your interest in Advaning awnings. Advaning 16-feet S Series manual awnings can be extended/projected to any distance and stop at any point up to 10 feet. You may stop the awning at any distance (example: 6 feet) by simply stopping rolling the hand crank for manual awnings, or press "pause" button on the remote control for the electric awnings. how would it stand up to wind and rain in central Florida?

We recommend to keep the awning closed during rain and wind. To block the rain (or snow), we recommend Advaning PN Series and PA Series. Both PN and PA Series were tested by Intertek and each can hold up to 200 lbs and 350 lbs respectively. Please see the links below for more information.
