A: Hello and thank you for your question. Advaning's team of product designers have worked countless hours in attempting to produce a product that is easy for almost everyone to use and based of research and feedback we believe that our product is fairly easy to open and close with minimal effort. We have, however, received some feedback that the awnings can be hard to closed if/when the awnings pitch is adjusted downward below 15 degrees. It is important that we also note that the awnings are meant for manual operation by healthy individuals who do not have upper body strength issues. Hope this information is helpful. Thank you, Best, Chris L. ADVANING
