Product Details

This AEON-50101 in wall TV mount is a completely recessed tv mount allowing for a zero clearance behind your tv. Normal tv mounts close to within 4 in. from the wall. From a side profile this 4 in. can be quite noticeable. If you want your TV to look like it is floating on the wall like a piece of artwork this is the mount for you. This AEON TV Mount extends up to 28 in. from the wall. You can swivel a 55 in. tv a full 90° without hitting the wall. Swivel a 65 in. tv up to 75° without hitting the wall. With a fully recessed bay you will have plenty of room to run cables and power so they are completely out of sight. Cables are held in place via a cable management system. This mount is UL safety tested and approved to hold TV's up to 135 lbs. Mounts between two 16 in. on center wood studs. Not designed for metal studs or brick installs, unless customized. For a sleek install that's different than your neighbors traditional mount choose the AEON-50101.

      A:  No, unless you where able to frame it up with braces, no. But adding additional support for the box could be easy and it would be worth the extra work. Watch the YouTube video it was super helpful

      A:  Yes, in the sense that you would not cut any wood, you would just add 2x4s to support this. You would have a custom support framed around it. Any decent handyman framer can do this rather quick, depending on whats inside your wall. You would open the drywall, to work on this, but you would have to make a hole anyway for this, so mudding and closing up holes will already be needed. Paint and done.

          The mount is not a problem. It is well made and relatively easy to attach. The only caveat is that you never know what is behind your wall, so be prepared for surprises. I could not find a single tv mounting service to do this for me, so I had to do it myself. Again, great idea and great mount.
