This fan is so quiet the installer thought it was a bad exaust fan, I explained it's a quiet fan. The LED light is very bright, my daughter was so surprised. I mean, it lit up the bathroom really nice, being we have a patio that does not allow sun light. I should have bought two fans so if it goes out hopefully in years to come we'll have an extra to install again.

This product is much quieter that the unit it replaced. It was not an easy retrofit, would have been much easier in new construction but I was able to fit it in and attach to the existing vent. My wife really likes the night light feature.

FAN is VERY QUIET; COULD NOT GET LIGHT TO DIM; SHOULD MANUFACTURE in MATTE BLACK
I wanted this fan in MATTE BLACK, but it was not available. Tried the oil rubbed bronze and brushed nickel but that didn't work with the decor so I purchased the white and had my cousin paint! We could not get the light to dim - reading through other reviews that seems to have been an issue with others. So far it's been up and working for 6+ months with no issues. Compared to the 20+ year old fan without light that it replaced, this unit is WHISPER QUIET to the point where I constantly have to come behind my husband to turn it off.

good, not great
Replaced a 30yr old fan that just died. A few unexpected disappointments, but overall it vents properly.
Almost had a problem where I placed it nearly too close to a cross support beam without realizing how much space the bracket required in the ceiling, about 2" from beam. Luckily just barely avoided having to make a creative attachment to the beam instead of using the bracket.
The main light is a good brightness and is the proper soft white color to match other soft white lights. Comparing to Nutone's "clean cover" light, which is a smaller light size, this light's larger footprint helps reduce shadows over curtain rods, and Nutone's whiter light won't match other daylight nor soft white lights in the room. However, the nightlight is way too bright and is apparently NOT dimmable like I had expected from the Q&A's. Installed in the master bathroom, it keeps my attached bedroom too bright for sleeping. Have to close the door or leave the nightlight off. I had put it on a smart dimmer switch to have it on a timer and dimmed if necessary. Well, it's necessary, but won't dim.
Finally, its not as quiet as expected with it's 0.3 sones rating. Maybe its defective, but I can't tell a difference in sound level between it and a 0.8 sones Nutone 110 CFM fan also just installed. Both have similar lengths and shapes of rigid ductwork installed. It's definitely not loud, but just not as quiet as the 0.3 rating had me expect.
I would buy again for the light, but only where the nightlight won't be near bedrooms, and maybe take the sones rating with a grain of salt.

The fan does work great but the directions were not good at all. It does not clearly spell out a few items and referred to diagrams on the wrong pages. The bracket that holds the fan is not the best. They should provide a better bracket.
