Lift Handle Poor Design - Consider Other Options
Purchased on 10/12/2022. Like others I found the lift handle to be impossible to assemble with the given bolts. Need to purchase shorter bolts so that the lift handle can be attached. Read the reviews this is a common problem and can be traced back to the design. Definitely use the online video. The written instructions are hard to follow.
There should be more clearance to allow the bolts through the lift handle.
Missing 1 nylock nut in package. I Regret this purchase.

Cheap Steel
I had this for a few years and the piece that attaches to the tractor hitch literally tore. Kept inside, no rust. See included photos. Junk
Warranty or not, the structural steel shouldn't fail if it's not rusty/oxidized.

Disappointing construction of aerator
I brought this item last summer but just used it May 2022. One of the tines disengaged from the axel the second time I used it, very very disappointing. I hope it can be repaired or returned. I think the tines and axle needs to be one solid part and not welded onto each other thereby making a durable part of the aerator. Very very flimsy in its construction.

Great product - bad instructions, missing bolts
I’ll echo all the other reviews here - the instructions are muddled. Not impossible, but you just wonder if Agri-Fab cares. Absolutely you want to use a 1” instead of a 1 1/4” bolt to attach the bottom part of the arm. Just swap it with one of the two 1” bolts that are used on tray. Plan on making a run to Ace Hardware - my package was missing 6x 1 1/4” bolts. I didn’t want to wait to process that through warranty with Agri-Fab. As a bonus, I got extra fasteners that are useless. Product worked great on the lawn though. Just disappointed that Agri-Fab doesn’t seem to be reacting to these reviews which are very very consistent.

poor workmanship/quality control
first use after assembly on 5,000 sq. ft. fairly soft soil lawn the weld broke on double spool, manufacturer sent a replacement I installed it and let a friend use it on 10,000 sq.ft.lawn and all the welds broke the welds are only 180 degrees around the spools not 360 degrees as they should be

Well made with heavy guage metal
I used this plugger on my yard yesterday, and it did a great job. I had 4 concrete block for weight, and it left nicely placed 3” deep holes. Assembly was difficult, with some incorrect instructions. You need to take your time, or assembly will not align & or function properly. The handle that raises and lowers the blades doesn’t latch in the raised position very well.

Nice USA product but flawed assembly instructions
This core aerator did a nice job on my yard yesterday. However, the assembly instructions have mistakes that required me to undo the axle assembly twice due to incorrect spacer placement (affected the attachment of the middle brace to the tray) and not enough space to attach the lift handle to the wheel bracket on the middle of the axle. These flawed instructions doubled the amount of time (4 hours) and energy to build it. Unfortunately, there was no Youtube assembly video for my model (45-05182). I had to do trial and error to figure out the correct spacer configuration. If Agri-Fab fixed the instructions and made an assembly video for this model, I would recommend it. The fabrication is good (5 stars) but the assembly instructions (2 stars) need fixed to help the consumer. I would be happy to communicate these assembly instruction details to Agri-Fab to help future buyers avoid the headache I had.

I like the product but there are some issues. The box came looking like it was in a war and the parts are just placed in a big plastic bag. Some spilled out as the bag got punctured during transport so it took 40 mins just sorting through and finding all the parts. Thought - attach the pieces to cardboard, label and shrink wrap. I've seen this and it's great, everything is labeled and ready to go. Other than that assembly wasn't to tough (I'm not a tools guy) and took about 3hrs taking my time. Disappointed in the lever as it slipped out of the hook while in use. Everything is solid and the product is built extremely well. Did an excellent job on my dirt - now lawn. Good solid product I would recommend and buy again. Would give it 5 starts if I didn't have to hunt for parts.
