The ENERGY STAR certified ECQ provides a 2 in 1 solution for kitchen ventilation. The barley audible low speed provides continuous ventilation to the home, solving for ASHRAE 62.2 requirements. For times when more airflow is needed, the high speed effectively clears contaminates from the air. The included LED lamp provides energy efficient and effective lighting to the cooking surface.

A:  Current sound ratings for the ECQ series is 5.0 sone on high. 1.5 sones on working speed (low) and <0.3 sones on the continuous speed levels.

    A:  Yes, you can install under a cabinet that is 15" in depth. However, be aware of placement, you will have a 3" space either in the front or back. You will need to locate the ducting/electrical connection somehow, the 12" dimension is a standard size and the installation instructions are based on the standard cabinet size. A 15" depth cabinet is a special item typically used above a refrigerator or for insert style hoods, we do not offer any under cabinet hoods designed for use with the 15" depth

        A:  Sorta. You can put them in the dishwasher and they will get clean. The issue is that the combination of the aluminum filter with SOME detergents as well as the material of the rack can cause them to leave "black" residue stains.

            DOESN'T VENT VERY WELL
            THIS HOOD WAS PUT IN BY A CERTIFIED ELECTRICIAN; HOWEVER THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE 3 POWERS FOR THE VENTILATION-LOW, MEDIUM LOW. ALSO THE LED LIGHT HAS ALREADY BURNED OUT. EQUIPMENT WAS PUT IN DURING FALL-2020. COST OF REPLACEMENT BULB IS EXPENSIVE TOO. CAPABILITY FOR (2 BULBS) IN THE OVERHEAD -1 DOESN'T REALLY ILLUMINATE THE STOVE TOP WHILE COOKING.

              Does not include damper
              The unit arrived without a damper. I called Air King and they said “Some of #ECQ248 require a damper on the outside vent”. Nothing in the specification or installation instructions said this, and the part listed in the instructions is clearly an internal damper. Air King said they would ship the damper out to me, which will take over a week! I can’t install the ducting without the damper, so my kitchen remains torn apart for an extra week. No apologies or next-day-air or consideration, and Air King made it feel like it’s my mistake. Frustrating. If you buy the product, check about the damper.

                We have been extremely pleased with this Air King Ducted Range Hood since it's installation about 3 weeks ago. The fan noise (even on high) is very acceptable. The LED light truly lights up the work area around the range. The style and design fits well within it's work space. Highly recommend it!
