I'm sure you can use this on most fruit or vegetable yielding plants. And yes this helps strengthen the root system and plant. Use in conjunction with the Alaska 5-1-1. After fruits or vegetables appear switch off from both and use the morbloom. I feed once weekly to bi-weekly with plenty of water daily and my garden has increased in size and yield in 3-4months. Good Luck !

Is this one organic fertilizer?

Depends on your definition of organic. If you mean everything is from the ground in the simplest manner, yes it's organic! If you mean its entirely from once living plants and animals/bi-products, no it's not organic. It contains Phosphoric and Muriatic Potash AKA why not organic and 0-10-10. Fish solubles have been pasturized to where there is no Nitrogen(Most likely steamed fish bones, scales, carcass). May not be OMRI certified but it really is organic IMO.

Is Morbloom an organic fertilizer?

Asked by chuckers July 18, 2018

Dear Alaska Team, your recommendation to use Alaska Fish Fertilizer which is a 5-1-1 NPK instead of Morbloom which is 0/10/10 NPK makes little sense. They are 2 different fertilizers for 2 different purposes. The 5-1-1 is really only good for promoting green growth (leaf/stem) but not for root, flower and fruit growth. People looking into a 0-10-10 are looking to encourage flower, root and fruit growth, not green growth. Thanks for your answer all the same.

Can this be used as a foliage feeder?

It can but I would advise against that practice unless using PH balanced h2o or spraying for pests and diseases! This fertilizer works wonders as a soil fertilizer. I just stick with half recommended amount with tap water...i guarantee results this way.

Alaska Fish Products; Fish Fertilizer (Grow) and Morbloom (Flowering) are earth friendly organic and they do not deplete the soils natural nutrients like petrol chemicals do destroying the anaerobic bacteria in your soil. These wonderful all natural products promote larger and more colorful flowers with much stronger fragrances, and promote root development. These wonderful products are the very best and can be use without any harm. The standard soil test; dig-up a shovel full of your soil, do you see earth worms? If not your soil is in trouble and most likely your soil is dead from years of use of Petrol Chemicals Fertilizers. These Alaska Fish all natural organic products grow flowers and produce the plants to their maximum potential. I have been using the fish products for more than thirty years and I will encourage everyone to go organic.

Very Good Liquid Fertilizer
I have been using the Alaskan 5-1-1 this spring with great result so I ordered this 0-10-10 from the home depot website. This is the fertilizer you want to use once your tomatoes and peppers start to bloom. If the plant is not the desired size you can combine the 5-1-1 and 0-10-10 to make a 5-11-11 and that is a little stronger than most of the organic 8-8-8 I see at the stores. We had a very wet 2016 spring in the St Louis area and all my pepper plants were the light green/yellowish and were not growing. Now that the constant rain has stopped and I can manage the water and fertilizer properly they have tripled in size with huge dark green floppy leaves, lots of top plant flowers, and looking as good as they ever have with any blue granular chemical fertilizer. But make sure you have a source of calcium, magnesium, and other minerals in your soil since this fish slurry based fertilizer may not supply those essential minerals. Pictures show the dense dark green leaves at the top of the pepper plants and that is all from the fertilizer, it only took a couple of weeks to get to them to the current condition. Also used it on my Zucchini plant and it is the largest I have grown so far, it is in a 2x2 raised box so you can gauge the size of the plant.

Great for vegetables!
I do not know why, but the specs for this in the system say it is "not for vegetables". (To quote: On Vegetables - NO.) Seems as though the price is a problem when you see the cheaper chemical bag stuff, but remember that this will have whatever was in the fish it was made from, so the ocean has every single thing to make it grow, and all of those micro nutrients will cost a bundle getting them elsewhere. Use this with a loose soil and stand back when the fruit pops out. And for flowers? Being here in Hawaii , nothing better for Amarylis and use on orchids and other Hawaii plants that are used to having a "jungle" type soil that is very rich. I use 1/2 the recommended and use at least monthly with a hose end sprayer. Easy, great results and cheaper than you think!
