Beautiful bench bought as a TV stand, super strong. Had an issue with one shelf bracket
Just received this morning from Home Depot, they have the best price anywhere for Craftsbury Bench. It was very easy to assemble, until I got to the last screw in the shelf attaching it to the leg. The corner bracket was installed crooked, so the long bolt couldn't go in. Glad I'm pretty handy with carpenter tools (76-year-old female) so I was able to fix it. Sure didn't want to send it back! Removed the side screws in the bracket with a power driver, used a wood chisel to prise out the crooked bracket. Used pliers to pull the little nails out holding it crooked, inserted the big screw first into the leg, then reinserted the two small wood screws in the sides of the bracket. You can see in the photo by the unpainted part in the finished shot just how crooked the bracket started out. There's still a tiny gap between the leg and the skirt on the shelf, but not enough to notice - the other 3 are perfectly flush as seen in the last photo. The table is beautiful and so sturdy, perfectly level, the 36x14x18 dimensions were an exact match I needed to use for a 40" TV stand. I would buy it again even if I knew it was going to have a crooked bracket :=)
