If it's exterior, I use drywall screws and countersink them......
yes I cut mine with a hand miter saw
I bought the kit for a sliding patio doors. It only cost a few dollars more
This type of moulding is not ment to support anything. It is strictly a decorative trim piece to accent your doors or windows. It has no structural value (meaning it is not designed to support any weight at all). I hope this helps
Yes and No. Consider priming (white Kilz primer) any wood species and then applying a white stain. It will color it but probably not in the way you may want. Generally, most stains are designed to bring out the beauty of the wood's grain. This has no grain. In as much as you can paint this, you can also color it with a stain. I like a gel stain and would suggest testing on a small piece if your project is large.
It’s not structural so screws would need to pass through and catch framing studs??
Hi tj, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we do not sell this in longer lengths. We're sorry about the inconvenience.
No, but I have painted this and it still looks good.
Yes it can be painted. I installed this around an exterior door last year and painted it and it has held up just fine.
Well you don't need to paint it but if you want to change the color you can do it with acrylic exterior paint
