I purchased one 1" X 12" X 8' S4S board to make shelves for our living room. First thing I notic...
I purchased one 1" X 12" X 8' S4S board to make shelves for our living room. First thing I noticed were three inch long dents along one side - like this board was the top one in a bundle and the dents came from strapping holding the bundle together. Next I noticed that the board was only 11 inches wide - not the 11 1/4" I had expected. Finally the board had some scratches on one surface. Had to sand this board and cut it down to 10 1/2" to get rid of the dents.
