How much does this dowel rod weigh?
Will the 1 1/4 size support a 100 lb person climbing stacked dowels, set into 2 x 4's, set up like in a ladder

I'm going to plug a 3/4" hole in the end band just above the house's foundation sill plate. Home Depot has Poplar, Oak and Pine dowels. Which wood type would you recommend?

There is also a cut cart available in the moulding aisle that allows you to cut the item to length. I believe for a dowel, you will still have to pay for the full piece.
