It's not the area that matters, it's the length around the perimeter.

Hi Noah, thank you for your inquiry. You do not need to prime this moulding since we prime it ourselves. All you need to do is painted and install it!

Divide 8 into 180 will give you 23 pieces. Which is 184 feet. Doorways and openings will reduce the footage, but always figure on a little extra for waste and bad cuts.

Simply answer to your question Scorpio is - Yes. Quarter round is equal length on both unexposed sides and comes in various dimensions, ex: 1/4" x 1/4", 1/2" x 1/2", etc. Whereas, Shoe Base (Base Shoe in Contractor lingo) most commonly is 1/2" Wide by 3/4" high and is used to cover the space (gap) between the Base Board and finished floor coverings. Most applications are over thin flooring material such as tile or as in your case, vinyl. Base Shoe is somewhat flexible and provides a means whereby the a tight, professional look that requires little or no caulking can be achieved. The 'gap' below your Dining Room Base Board is common and allowed a space for the carpet installer to 'stuff' the cut edge of the carpeting. That gap is generally 3/8" high. If larger, and not exceeding 5/8", 1/2" x 3/4" Base shoe can comfortably be used to conceal the void under the Base Board. In some instances a thin filler strip of wood the same thickness as the Base Board must be placed in the "gap" before installing the shoe. Otherwise, the base shoe will have a tendency to collapse in at the bottom and will not fit tightly against the base board at the top. A little Contractor secret - if the shoe you bought is prime paint coated (Alexandria brand from Home Deport is) you'll still need to put on a finish coat of paint to match the base board. Cutting in the bottom edge where it comes in contact with the vinyl flooring material can be tedious. Even if masking tape is used. If you 'finish coat' the shoe before it is installed, you'll find that touching up the small hole left by the nail gun much easier than doing filling and painting after the material is installed,

Awesome Value! These worked out very well and I cannot believe actually how well! I couldn't find a good color to match the floor so I decided I would try to paint them but I was apprehensive about spoiling something expensive if I messed up. I was pleasantly surprised that they are nicer than I expected and would have been fine just the way the are to match the white baseboard. But I was curious to see how my painting idea would come out. They were easy to paint and easy to cut. I used a miter box for angle cuts. You can use construction adhesive or nails to attach. Everything worked out perfect. I would highly recommend these especially if you are on a budget.

Excellent quality for a low cost paint-able moulding. This was my second purchase and bought through the ship to store option. The packaging and condition was excellent, much better than trying to get 10 pieces from a bin that has been trashed by customers. It seems most of these pieces are warped, split and dented when found in a bin. The delivered ones I purchased were in perfect condition.

I used this with my floating laminate floor. Very impressed with the finish and ease of cutting. The width and height are perfect.. 3/4 inch is the perfect width to cover the expansion gap left for the floor. cuts/45 degree angles were easy to make and there was NO chipping even when using a circular saw. The paint is a bright white and uniform. I did not even need to put on another coat of paint and it matched my existing trim color perfectly. Very easy to use finishing nails to fasten - Does not snap or chip. Neatly packaged with no defects or breakages - I ordered online for free store delivery.

Good trim
Trim was lightly primed on all sides. Some pieces had paint blobs that I chiseled off. Some pieces were not straight, but with trim this thin it can be easily nailed in place. Ordering online was much cheaper and easier than buying in store.

Very reasonably priced and good quality (though 1 star off for a few wavy pierces out of the 20 I bought. The prime coat is really thick (at first I thought it was a plastic casing over the wood because there's zero grain texture) and takes paint nicely.
