A:  The bowl is 2.85" deep

A:  I didn't clean it I through it out after one season.it cracked and chiped. Don't buy it

A:  I spray clean with the hose every day to get the dirt out of the bowl. If the bowl looks slimy, I use the cleaner I purchased with the bath or just wipe the bowl to clean which wipes off very easily.

A:  Mine doesn’t and it’s easy to clean with mild soap solution and rinse well with water hose. The slick finish helps!

A:  Yes it does, at least in the summer heat of Nevada. Clean It with a good scrub brush& light bleach. between cleaning use "Green Stop" sparingly, follow directions. 

A:  I didn’t leave it out when it was too cold.

A:  I wouldn't leave it out in the winter. The entire thing is ceramic. It will crack if water is freezing and thawing in it. I believe the info it came with warned about this. I brought it inside in November

A:  Hi there. The answer to both questions is yes. 

A:  Yes, Altho it’s heavy you can add sand to increase weight. The top comes off. It tolerates high temps but not freezing. Bring the top inside for the winter

A:  I live in Florida, it did fine in the heat and yes you can fill the base with sand. However, it is very very lightweight. I honestly am not sure if it would stand up to really strong winds. Mine was protected by outside walls so it was fine but can't attest if you were to put it in the middle of a yard with no wind barriers. Hope this helps.

A:  I live in Central Texas where the summer temperatures aren’t as hot as Las Vegas, but, are above 100 quite often. So far this bird bath has held up under our heat. It has been fine on our windiest days, some of which have sustained winds of 25-30 mph. It also survived the deep freeze of February, 2021. The temperature reach 4 degrees. I don’t think the base will hold sand unless the bottom is sealed.   I have been pleased with this purchase. 

A:  The base CAN be filled.  I filled approx 1/3 of mine w/dirt.  I live in Missouri where it gets up to around 100°.  We experience humidity also.  I loved this bird bath for the color & ‘antiquish’ design & it did fine during hot weather.  Unfortunately, just towards the end of Feb this year, after a light rain w/a light ice during the night, I walked out the following day to find the top broken into several pieces.  It sat close to the house w/a lilac bush & flowers/roses around it. I found no rocks or broken tree branches. Not too long after that, I found more of it broken. I am going through some health issues, so it took me a couple days to pick up the broken pieces.  When I did, they just started crumbling in my hands!  The pedestal base remained intact. I took pics & still need to contact someone to see if they will replace as this was too expensive to last only one yr!. I’ve owned a couple of outdoor ceramic items in the past & never have had ceramic to crumble like this has done, especially considering it was not a heavy/strong storm! I hope this helps.
