Answer

I'd remove the bulb and take it to your nearest Home Depot an associate there should be able to help you find an appropriate replacement bulb.

is this dimmable?

I believe all fixtures are pretty much dimmable now days.... LED's usually don't dim as well...but as long as you have a compatible dimmer switch, they all seem to sort of work....

Are replacement bulbs for this a standard size/connection, or do they need to be ordered from the manufacturer?

Asked by Mc June 17, 2019
1
Answer

This light has "integrated" led lights...that means that the bulbs are NOT replaceable...... so basically we are to assume they won't fail, and the fixture will last as promised 20ish years. That is the point of LED lights....not always true....but is is a "hope". :-)

What is the LED wattage of each bulb?

Asked by mb April 16, 2019

Answer

5.8 watts each track head.

Can the electrical connection in the center be moved closeto one or the other ends of the track bar?

I believe you can place it where you want it..as this is a bendable / manipulative track system....that is the point...it is not a fixed track system

Are the bulb sockets compatible with Phillips Hue smart bulbs (white and color GU10)?

This brief, less than comprehensive review is for ALSY LIGHTING VAUGHN, 5-light LED flex track, Model No 21126-000. The track is 96.5 inches long. Overall, the product is about 10.24 inches high and 4.38 inches deep. It is energy-efficient, using only about 35 watts. I removed the product components from the well-designed packaging, assembled it and temporarily powered it up, finding that all worked well. The light color is LED 3000K, bright white, about right for the application that I have in mind. The 120 volt LED lamps are integrated and dimmable to 10% using specified compatible dimmers. I carefully inspected the product finding its overall quality high with no noticeable defects or flaws in the finish. I repackaged the product as I am in the midst of preparing for a move to a replacement home and will install it there in about 45 days, the reason for this less than comprehensive review at this time. I will submit a more detailed review after my installation is completed.

I had a pre-existing when I bought the home track lighting in the living room with the fireplace. It had only 3 lamp heads that I used LED bulbs on them, but to us it was still too little light for the room. So we decided to get this additional track light to supplement the light in the room. Here are some challenges we faced. 1) In the box, this has a flexible power strip that is like 8 ft long, and it was coiled together in the box. Okay, it is very good construction of material and nicely made, but if you were looking to have a straight strip, it was difficult. The strip has somewhat "memory" to it and would coil back a bit to how it was in the box. So I had to slowly, gently bend it straight and I had some old books (yes I'm a boomer) to hold it down overnight so that it loses its memory. So if you were to have it shaped with curves then you probably can do it without notice. Mine still have a bit of memory to it, as I wanted it straight. 2) I like how it has 5 lamps, I can only guess from the box where it says 2000 lumens, that it means like 200 lumens per lamp. There is nothing in the insructions that tell me, plus I really can't tell the difference as a home owner. So it gives off good light and made it brighter in the room. Time will tell if the lamps last as LED are known to last much longer than the older bulb types. 3) It comes with anchors for installing the support post (4), I was concern that since the flexible powerstrip (8 ft long) still had some memory, that it has some lateral side way pressure than if it was a stiff powerstrip. So I switched over to using molly anchors instead using my molly bolt anchor ratcheting gun to set them in the drywall of my ceiling. 4) It comes with 3 wire nuts, and 4 wall anchors with screws, and 2 electric box bolts that are use to install the fixture to the junction box. But in my case, I had to install one of those new boxes, and run romex cable in my attic from the existing box of the existing track lighting to this new LED track light. If you are replacing an existing fixture then it is much more easier to do. I was adding which required additional work for me. 5) I used two ladder and help to connect the power strip to the fixture and to the post. A bit of a hassle cause the strip still had a bit of memory to it and wanted to coil back to how it was in the box. So 2 people needed in my opinion for this part of the installation. Overall nicely made, and works well with my existing dimmer two way switch setup. The finish is nice and the way to connect and able to move it along the track to where I want it makes it very flexible.

I am reviewing the Alsy 8 ft. 5-Light Oil Rubbed Bronze Integrated LED Track Lighting Kit. I have not used any product from this company before, but I decided to go with this unit because it looks like it will light up my small mountain kitchen very well. This unit also gives me the option of flexibility because of the 'flexible' power track. I have not installed this yet, but am looking forward to being able to adjust the lights as needed. This unit has met my expectations, and have owned it for about 10 days. I intend to post more pictures after the installation.

The Alsy 8FT 5 light Oil rubbed Bronze light system is just awesome. I need some new lighting in my CNC shop and I thought this would work well, Had a outlet already in the ceiling so I took down the existing fixture and followed the perfect instructions enclosed and got creative with were I ran the wire for mounting the light. They all work flawlessly. I started at 10:30am in the morning and finished at 12:00pm. YES they give you all of the hardware you should normally use which surprised me. Lights are bright and you are able to angle and point in multitudes of directions. Very nice, good quality and easy to install.

This looks nice once completed and installation is simple once you really get into it. Initially, I found the instructions a little confusing, but once I looked the whole light system over and re-read the instructions, it's much easier than I initially thought. The one thing we don't like about it is that the lights are more like narrowly focused spotlights, which causes shadowy spots in the room where the lights are not focused. It produces plenty of light but the dark areas are not satisfactory to us. Other than that, this light is very appealing.

I've seen track lighting in houses and as well in Home Depot. This however is my first time owning and installing track lighting. The first step was removing old lighting. From there on it was relatively simple process. Mount the main post and connect your wires, after that you screw the main post up to the ceilings box securely. From there you install your 8 foot track light bar to the main post. For me I chose to center it. The next step is to install the first of 4 support posts at le as t 14" apart apart min. Once you've set up all your support post in your desired configuration and secured the track light bar to them, you simply follow the instructions for mounting the five lights to the track bar. You choose the general location along the bar. The heads swivel 180° allowing you to direct them most any wheres you want. The lights them selves are a good quality and are LED format...

Attractive bronze track light... I like how flexible it is and easy to design any shape you need. Very nice. One spotlight came pretty damaged, but I am going to just take a brown marker and paint over the issue and no one will be able to see it (I will put this one in an inconspicuous place on the track). Grateful to finally have LED bulbs integrated, as I have always had to change out the bulbs and it is a pain to do that as they never last very long. These (I have no proof), hopefully last a long time since the bulb is integrated.

High quality materials on a flexible track means a difficult time flexing just the way you want. I have installed these in the past and so knew these type tracks are difficult at best to get them placed the way you want up on a ceiling. This one is no exception. Once up it is grand looking and we finally got the light just where we wanted in a odd shaped entry way and closet area. I don't have great hand strength and needed the clamp shown in the photo to get the fixture mounted on the track which is a good thing as you want a good tight electrical connection.

We selected this track lighting to replace an old-style 4’ tube florescent light fixture in our kitchen, because we could no longer stand the garish/sterile bright white florescent light. We were hoping to update the styling, and bring a warmth to the kitchen, without sacrificing working condition illumination. We got what we hoped for. Not only was the illumination adequate, we like that it is rather easy to relocate the direction of light as our needs might change, rather than splaying glaring light everywhere. We have very high sloped ceilings, so it was important to us that the lighting track and fixtures not succumb to gravity (who wants a light fixture that droops?). The track is supported by five stanchions, including the fixture electrical connection, (we needed and used only four of the stanchions). These provided sufficient-stability to retain the track position and collectively support the light fixtures. Each track light head also securely held its position as well. The individual lights can easily be relocated along the track without the need for tools, by simply loosening a knurled grommet by hand, moving the fixture and re-tightening. The installation instructions were concise, well-written and illustrated. Because we have 12’ sloped ceilings, we like that these fixtures are LED powered, and do not require bulb replacements. With one minor caveat, we also like the ability to configure the shape of the track to suit our individual needs. The semi-rigid flat track was attractive and easy to maneuver, but its shape does tend to retain a a slight “memory” from the way it was packaged for sale. We were able to cajole it into the position we wanted, but if you’re very finicky about attaining perfect curves or absolutely-straight lines, you might find it annoying working to achieve such precision. Of course, when viewing the ceiling from the floor below, minor variations in the track shape may be difficult or impossible to see anyway. The manufacturer does caution not to make sharp bends in the track or attempt curves of more than 90 degrees within a 12-inch section. The stanchions were very easy to install requiring only a Philips head screwdriver to attach the self-driving drywall fasteners (provided with the product) to the ceiling. They stand proud about 3” off the ceiling surface, providing plenty of room to reach around the track to install each of the five light fixtures. All other attachments are made by hand (no tools required), making it a rather simple process to install the track to the stanchions, and the light heads to the track. Working on a ladder high off the ground, we thought we might first create a mock-up of the track-design at ground level. However, the semi-rigid track had a mind of its own (i.e., it would not retain its shape unless affixed to a stanchion), so we abandoned that effort in lieu of simply deciding where to mount the stanchions on the ceiling and then attaching the track to those points. This method of installation worked out quit well. It helped for us to do a dry run of attaching one of the stanchions and one of the light fixtures to the track at ground-level before doing the installation on the ladder, because those attachments must follow a specified protocol to operate properly. All told, we think the track is aesthetically pleasing, and the lighting results were very good. Working overhead on a ladder is often challenging, but for us this installation was much simpler than many conventional ceiling light installations. We would recommend this product to a friend.
