This is a great product that I highly recommend. The color is great and has a 2 year warranty and a 10 year warranty on rot. I’ve bought 1,200 boards and not an issue with any of them. When I registered the boards with the company they responded within a few minutes with the registration number.

Used the Alta Forest pickets for my replacement fence about a month ago and the boards seem to be holding up very well with a minimal amount of shrinkage. I'm hoping these pickets will last at least as long as my previous 30+ year old fence did.

Ordered full pallet (delivery $79 but excellent service from the delivery person). Pallet wrapped in very neat Alta tent. Got a few boards that had some kind of wood “rot” and a whole bunch that were soaking wet. Some boards semed really heavy, some really light. Anyway, got the first half dozen sections done not much problem but then came the milling issues. In many cases boards would be touching top and bottom but with an obvious space in the middle. The long edges were in fact slightly concave. Because of the logistics and expense of returning the boards, i carried on and finally got it done. My point is that having paid for a “premium” product, i got the sort of quality that would be annoying if i’d bought the $1.99 boards. The reviews are generally excellent for this wood but sadly, my experience of it is not favourable.

They look better than standard pressure treated fence and are wider and thicker. All of my pocket were 6 in but. The thickness varied on about 20%. The fence looks great and the product was. Easy to work with.

Not happy at all with the excessive amount of shrinking. So much shrinkage you can literally see through the fence which defeated the purpose of a privacy fence!!!

These fence pickets were what I was looking for in my new fence. I wish they didn't have the dog ears it would have saved me a lot of cutting. There were a few culls and sometimes thickness issues but overall make a quality fence. The roughness of the wood adds character. I'm hoping for little shrinkage and warpage through the years.
