          Great buy
          Purchased 6/28/2020. I’m only 5’3, easy to put right in window with just a few steps. Side panels fit perfectly in window, and when turned on- cold air was fabulous. We keep it on 76 degrees with auto run. The room is 30o square feet. I see it is out of stock now. This was a good buy.

            The Eco mode on this Amana-6-000-BTU-Window-A/C allows the unit to cycle on and off
            Live in a very hot humid area (south east TX) and was in need of a hard working window unit for a small room, less than 250 sq ft. First bought a Toshiba 5,000 BTU, it made the room cold but the fan would always be on. I was able to exchange it at Home Depot for this Amana 6k btu unit. It’s the best and quietest window unit I have had. When in eco mode, it will run until it reaches the set temp and cycle off until the room goes up a couple of degrees. As per other reviews, the set temperature does not match my stand alone thermometer. No big deal, the unit will keep the temp say between 68 and 70, but the dial may say 65. Who cares, as long as it keeps the room comfortable. Very satisfied with the purchase of this Amana 6000 btu unit and would definitely recommend it.

              Doesn't perform as well as the Frigidaire 5,000 BTU unit...
              Doesn't perform as well as the Frigidaire 5,000 BTU unit that it replaced. Also, the circulating fan is very noisy!
