This is NOT the same as "Plumber's Goop".
I've used the original Plumber's Goop for years. Love the stuff. It ALWAYS worked.
Went to Home Depot yesterday when I finished a plumbing job on a drain (low pressure) and a part that I hadn't replaced had started leaking. (Probably from being jostled around during the rest of the job.) No problem, I figured. Plumber's Goop will take care of it!
They didn't stock it. Just this stuff. Figured I'd give it a try.
Coated the c*** out of the leak areas and let it set overnight. Ran water this morning and still had two leaks.
The problem with this stuff is that it isn't as "thick" a Plumber's Goop. And gravity pulls it down, away from the repair. There were big "drips" of it at the bottom of the pipe. But it pulled away from where I'd put it.
I went back out today looking for the original stuff but haven't been able to find it in the stores. Only on line.
I've since redone the repair with this stuff, using half the tube. (Hoping "overkill" will do the trick. ) And I tried spreading it out more to keep it from dripping down like I noticed it starting to do again. Hopefully it will work this time. If not, I'll either order the REAL Plumber's Goop on line. (Or just replace the rest of the PVC.)

Truly amazing
This stuff really works. bonds materials that other adhesives can't. Seals, is waterproof, and sets fairly fast.
Not just for plumbing. I use it in auto repair, crafts, etc.

Don't waste your money
It is not strong enough to stop leaks.

Plumbers goop
This stuff is great for small leaks in outside pipes and makes a great adhesive.
