Don't know if this helps. Go to https://www.amcrestview.com and register. If you are trying to view from a screen other than your phone you need to use their website. I'm using laptop with Windows 7 and smartphone as a modem. Avant browser is only one I could get camera view to work.

IP2M-841B: Product packaging lies, no POE support This review is for model IP2M-841B. The product packaging for this camera clearly and unambiguously advertises support for 8023af Power Over Ethernet (POE). I quote: "POE Networking: Connect using power over ethernet via 802.3af" I have attached a scan of the actual product packaging, edited with a pink arrow to point out the above text. http://imgur.com/a/d1Vm6 POE support was the sole reason I purchased this camera. Sadly, upon attempting to use it, I quickly discovered it has no POE support. None whatsoever: the product packaging is a lie. I contacted Amcrest support about this on 4/4/2017 at 4pm PT. They claimed I needed to purchase a "splitter and injector" to make it POE compatible--devices which can make any Ethernet-connected device under ~15 watts "POE compatible." A transcript of my chat with Amcrest support follows: Jeffery Dixon (Sales, Queries & Offers): Hi there! Did you have a question or was there anything I could help you with? Visitor: I purchased an IP2M-841B from Fry's electronics. The box of this product clearly and unambiguously advertises support for Power Over Ethernet (POE, 802.3af). However, I can find no mention of POE support in the user manual, and I am not able to get POE working. Where can I find more information about this product's support for POE? Jeffery Dixon (Sales, Queries & Offers): basically its a wifi camera however you can use spliter and injector in order to make it POE we have POE for the same model which is IP2M-841E Visitor: The box of my IP2M-841B is unambiguous about its support for POE. I quote: "Connect using power over ethernet via 802.3af" Jeffery Dixon (Sales, Queries & Offers): yes its compatible for POE, which measn Visitor: ? ...which means? Jeffery Dixon (Sales, Queries & Offers): you can make it POE Visitor: How? Jeffery Dixon (Sales, Queries & Offers): but you have to buy a spliter and an injector and then connect it with the camera Visitor: By that definition, *any* Ethernet product under 15watts can be made POE compatible. As I understand this conversation, you are stating that this product has no internal support for 802.3af POE. Am I correct in this understanding? (please answer with "yes" or "no") Jeffery Dixon (Sales, Queries & Offers): No Hope you can read the description its a WiFi camera However, we have option to make it POE POE means Power over ethernet as this cam comes with a power adapter so you need to use the spliter and injector in order to covert that to a POE one Visitor: How can I make my IP2M-841B which advertises native support for 8023af POE use 8023af POE without purchasing more hardware? Read Jeffery Dixon (Sales, Queries & Offers): If you are really looking for a POE camera, better buy IP2M-841E(B/W)

Just working through the process of setting up the camera and I hit some snags, but was able to get the issues resolved. Spoke with a wonderful Amcrest Representative Carol, who was VERY HELPFUL and THOROUGH. I decided to set up the camera without remote access from Amcrest. Carol was very patient with me and was in no hurry, she walked me through every step, even steps I didn't even know of. I have just enough Tech Savvy to get me in trouble, so if you call Tech Support, hold your tongue and let Carol work her magic for you, or whomever you are working with. As far as the Camera itself It is working fine, as advertised. I will report back if I have concerns or issues.

(What's this)
This Amcrest camera does it all. With the phone/tablet app you can pan, tilt, zoom, record, capture screen shots, listen to audio, and even send audio. The camera is also automatically switches to a night mode where it can amplify light so it works 24/7. Being wireless, you can move this camera anywhere there is an outlet depending on your need. This camera can be out of the box and setup in about 15 minutes; most of that time being getting the camera registered with the app. Your imagination is the limit on how you can use this thing. I've used it to monitor when a package arrived by point it out the window. I've used it as a baby monitor when friends are visiting. When my alarm is triggered I can look quickly to see if its a false alarm (IE trash crew broke a bottle outside and set off the glass break) or a legitimate break-in.

Bought this for my wife's birthday so she can watch "Chicken TV" in the henhouse from her PC. The photo was from the day it arrived when we hooked it up in the kitchen just to play with it. This is an actual photo from the camera, taken remotely from my iPhone. Clear and detailed and zooms well. Just a great camera, and much more than I expected for the price.

Seeds Program Review
(What's this)
This is a fantastic security camera. The quality of the video is great, even while using night vision, setup was a snap, and it's very easy to add additional cameras. The camera comes in a nice box, and setup is easy. Unbox it, plug it in, wait for the blinking green light, then open the app on your phone or tablet (i use an iPhone, and both the pro and lite version of the app are available, both are free so I downloaded the pro version) and scan the barcode on the bottom of the camera. After a few minutes your camera is set up and ready to use. Once that's done, the power is all in the app's interface. It's clunky at times, but very versatile. Once you open it up you have to select the camera you want to use, even if you only have one camera installed, and select live view. Then you can open or close the iris, pan/tilt/zoom, record snapshots, or video (all of that is free), and you can do a ton of other things. You can set it up on a timer, either to turn on or off, set up notifications to push to your phone, or do a ton of other things. You can turn the mic on or off, you can speak through the app to the speaker in the back of the camera, flip images, and many more things. The clunkieness is that in order to pan/zoom/tilt you have to tap an icon first, then you can swipe or pinch to pan/tilt/zoom. It would be good if you automatically were in that mode. The app can work with up to 16 cameras. The camera itself has great zoom without losing picture quality, and it can focus very close. (I tried to set it up in a window looking out over my yard at night, and it focused on the bug screen, I couldn't get it to look beyond it. I'm guessing that has to do with the infrared of the night vision as it didn't have this issue during the day). It can rotate (pan) a full 360 degrees, and tilt 180 degrees. It comes with a mounting bracket (with drywall anchors), power cord, and with an ethernet cord so you can plug it directly into your router or pc if necessary for setup. All in all, this is a great camera, and they don't try to sell you a subscription to record video or take photos. Once you have a video or photo you can download them to your phone/tablet easily. I haven't tried the web version of the interface, but I imagine it works just as well.

(What's this)
This is a great investment for beginning a home security system. You can watch this camera from your android or I phone, your laptop, desktop or tablet. I love it for keeping an eye on the dog while I'm out. The 1080p video camera gives you an incredible picture.. You can take snapshots of the video feed as well as recording video. Installation is simple and all you need is the quick start guide, The camera must be installed next to a plug for its power supply. That's the only real requirement.(besides WiFi) The field of view is incredible,If you put the camera in the corner of a room you can see the entire room. You can pan, Left,Right,Up,Down it is a true PTZ camera (pan, tilt, zoom) As well as being able to listen to whats going on. Can also be set up to record only when motion alerts are triggered. This is a quality camera that for a great price you can increase the safety of you and your home.......The unit records to a (up to) 32 mb SD card as well as being able to be sent to cloud storage device. Which is off premises, so even if someone broke in and noticed the camera they could destroy it, But their images would have already be previously recorded to the cloud.. This is a great system that can be expanded.... So its a great starting place and you can eventually make it into a super system if you wanted.....

This Camera has been a great addition to my house. I use it to monitor my Siberian husky puppy throughout the day when I am at work to make sure he is ok and not having any problems. The Best things about the Camera: - 1080P and full HD Quality, see the picture below, the resolution on the live feed is amazing and very fast to update. - Audio quality is superb and a nice addition to the video feed. - Very small and compact camera that be easily placed anywhere. The kit includes mounting screws for hanging the camera on the wall or upside down. - Very easy process to sync the camera to your phone, PC or tablet to view the live feed from anywhere. - Wireless set up so no messy Ethernet cords to have to run all the way to the camera. Things that could be improved: - The QR code that you are supposed to scan did not work when syncing the camera, it caused the app to crash on my iPhone 6s. Overall, This is a very high end Wireless security camera and has a lot of additional features that can be used along with the camera. I would recommend this for any home or business use. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

First things first, this Amcrest is an excellent security camera, so far it has been a breeze to deal with. I use it for security purposes, and checking on my cats when I am away. The camera arrived well packaged with box in excellent condition wrapped in plastic. The box itself is high quality and opens nicely like a book. If giving as a gift, it would have a great WOW factor from the receiver. Includes: -Quick start guide, warranty card and software disc. Also includes A/C wall adapter, mounting hardware and network cable. Set-up: -The setup and install was very simple and took just a few minutes. I ran into one issue at first when trying to install on my iPad with the Amcrest Lite App, there was no wireless option as explained in the quick start guide, only P2P option. After that failed I moved on to the desktop setup on my Macbook Pro using the install disc provided in the box. Desktop setup was extremely easy and straight forward, just followed the steps in the quick start guide and you should have no issues. After that app set-up was extremely easy and took less than a minute. After being unplugged and changing locations, the camera picks back up on wi-fi automatically without any further steps required. Quality: -The picture quality is very good as you can see in the screenshots I have provided on this review. The actual camera itself has a nice balance and sits nicely with non-slip pads. The Zoom feature on the Amcrest App works good without distorting too much. The microphone on the camera is very sensitive and picks up the T.V. from the next room, which makes me feel safe knowing I can hear intruders with the audio on, even if I can’t see them. Features: -Download the free Amcrest View Lite App, there is also a Pro version for .99 cents. The App allows up to 16 cameras to be linked to your device for easy viewing. It has the ability to take screenshots and record video, both with date/time stamps. The files are then able to be shared via email and other social media platforms. The camera has 2 way audio feature, is flexible and allows for individual activation (audio only, or with talkback). Frame rate and bit rate are adjustable. The mobile app has the ability to set favorite camera groups. Also has the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, color saturation and grey scale while in real time. The night viewing mode works excellent and is not grainy (see photos). Unit also has micro SD card slot, and audio/mic inputs, also looks like there is the ability to link some type of alarm system to the camera which you can remotely trigger from your mobile device. Notes: -The App on iOS Mac devices works great and the controls are very responsive. However the Amcrest Google app is very slow and hard to maneuver the pan/tilt and especially zoom feature. The cameras visual quality remains the same on both platforms, and both are very easy to setup for the first time. -When connecting to your Wi-Fi, the camera does not seem to recognize 5GHz router speeds. I have a dual band wireless router with 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidths, yet the camera only seems to find the 2.4GHz band. I would have liked to connect it to my 5G to prevent any lag, but there doesn’t seem to be much of that anyways. -The camera does not invert itself when rotated that I can find, so mounting the camera upside down from the ceiling seems out. Overall the Amcrest is a great camera at a competitive price. I am very satisfied and hope to link more of these to my home in the future.
