I am not fully aware of your exact situation...but I did not need a universal frame kit for the unit I purchased and installed.
The original packaging was pretty good on mine. I picked mine up in a small Chevy S10 pick up truck and laid it down at an angle from the inside left wheel well across to the right side top of the bed, used one ratchet strap for piece of mind. No problems and I drove 52 miles like that at hwy speeds.
This is usually caused by the weep holes being plugged with dirt/debris. If it is a new door, then possibly a bad install, maybe drain paths blocked with sealant. Best bet if new door, have installer return to fix it. If old door, look at cleaning out the weep holes. Don't wait! You could be looking at rotting floors, etc. Note that there were some doors that were designed very poorly. If you have one of these, best to replace before any underlying damage gets much worse.
