14 in. 5-Blade Manual Walk Behind Reel Lawn Mower

We purchased this product in the Spring of 2021, to use when mowing tall fescue grass on some very steep terrain at our residence. Trying to hold onto a regular gas powered push mower is quite a chore on the steep terrain and so we wanted to see what the results would be by using this manual mower. This particular product was chosen due to the 5-blade cutting system, smaller cutting width, and large 10 inch tires. PACKAGING: No frills, just a basic sturdy cardboard box with the mower, a bag of hardware, and the handle - which you must assemble. MADE IN / ASSEMBLED IN: The packaging indicates that this mower is Made In China. It doesn't state that it is assembled in the USA. ASSEMBLY: Easy! No tools required. You only have to assemble the handle and away you go. Doesn't even take 10 minutes! QUALITY: I'd rate this product as being of good quality. The larger wheels seem to require less effort to push and don't get bogged down in moist soil like smaller gas powered push mowers do. As the blade head spins, the mower does make some noise so by no means is it a silent mower. No amount of lubrication will address the noise - that's just how these mowers operate. The grass is cut cleanly but if you are trying to cut thick grass or while it it wet, you're going to have some issues as it will literally bind-up and refuse to move. At first, we cut the grass while it was about 8 inches high. Not a good result. A lot of pieces would be missed or not cut cleanly. The next time we cut the grass, I raised the cutting head up and cut about 3 inches off of the grass. This gave a much better result. Overall, this is certainly an environmentally friendly mower as you have no gas and oil to deal with nor store. It is easy to push and cuts cleanly when the grass is shorter and dry. The only question I have is whether I should have bought a model with a wider cutter head. This one seems to fulfill our purposes and we have now used it about half a dozen times and plan to use it weekly. So far, we are pleased with the product and the pricing seems fair for something we expect to use in the yard for many years to come.

Exceeded my expectations. Extremely well made. I bought it to handle steep and narrow areas which I didn’t want to have to use the heavy gas mower for. Does it with ease. Easy to assemble and use.

It’s easy to assemble with clear instructions. Just assemble and attach handle to reel, and it’s already sharpened and adjusted properly, except cutting height. It’s easy to push and light enough carry. This cut my 4-5-in Bermuda grass while walking normally. It does leave clippings. Overlap your path by about 2-3 inches. You will need to go back over it if taller grass. It does not need gas, is quiet, easy to maintain by yourself.

I LOVE this mower. I wanted a mower that would allow me to get some exercise while being outdoors and accomplish more precision cut than my husband provides with what I term ‘Nascar grass cutting’ with his monster zero turn radius mower. This mower gave me what I wanted. The other reviews are true about not cutting weeds, too tall grass, and small twigs stopping the blade rotation, but I still LOVE IT! No noisy motor, a decent cut, and great exercise.

THE BLADES WERE DULL EVEN THOUGH THE MOWER IS NEW (so much for the blades allegedly staying sharp for three to five years)

Kept jamming up and coming to a complete stop. The rubber hand grips wouldn’t fit the bars.
