A:  HI to answer your question...I would not put a sealer on this product.....for the simple fact your just adding another odor to the the room and it may not be a good one. I don't know of very many sealers that have a low VOC....as with some really good paints on the market that Home Depot carries they contain a low VOC....and don't carry a harsh chemical that can be breathed in. Most sealers you have to use in an area that is well ventilated As for the odor from these planks it should dissipate within a few months if not open your windows and let the room air out for a few hours.You may ask what is VOC? ....VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds. To find out more about this check out the web.With any painting or working with sealers make sure your using the proper PPE or personal protective equipment. Hope this helps ScottE.

A:  They are a bit rough on both sides, so you’d have to take that into consideration as flooring is smooth. I personally wouldn’t recommend them for flooring, but if you didn’t mind sanding them smooth and losing a bit of the finish on them already, I could see it being useful in a small space like a hallway.

A:  HI to answer your question.....I would say no with this product.....first off it is not durable enough for foot traffic these planks are more for decorative use to be placed on a wall or even a ceiling. My honest opinion this would not work for flooring...ScottE.

A:  Well the planks are already Stained so don't see the purpose of staining them a different shade. Also the type of stain used is printed on the box so you can touch up any part or section of the planks as needed.

A:  Mo, I was wondering the same thing. They are just too light for what I want to use them for; and the “charred” color was way too dark. But the price is right. So thank you for asking; and thank you for trying it and providing your own answer. This was SUPER helpful!

A:  The reason for staining is to darken the boards. I went ahead and tried it and they can be stained. Aaron, typical. SMH.

A:  Basically this material can be installed anywhere except in a very high humidity situation.
