Excellent product for rustic wood wall. We used all the colors; charred wood, gray, and white.
Easy to install, some reviews were bad because of warping, splitting, and knots. In my opinion, all these things make a more rustic look.
I used a 1.5 inch brad nailer and hit the studs. It's a solid install and I love it!

Made My Home Pub Look Awesome
I used 4 different types of this planking on the walls of my garage which I turned into a pub. It looks incredible. Making the pattern was easy. I just alternated every so often without any real plan. When people walk in they are floored by how awesome it looks. I highly recommend it. You can see the before and after in the video I put in this post. It is incredible.

Cool planking very nice color and texture. Feels like old wood, they did a really good job at making it feel like old wood. Install is easy, I chose a nail gun I use the ryobi cordless nail gun from homedepot at it works great. I needed 12 boxes to do the wall I was working on, I am waiting for the rest to come in on special order so I can finish the job. Overall I am very satisfied with the look and feel of the planking. Thanks!

First and foremost, this is REAL WOOD! I was amazed by the quality for the price per box of the American Pacific Charred Wood Planking. I am going to use the planks combined with other colors from the same collection to install an accent wall in the bedroom of my tiny house. This should be an easy project to do on a Saturday and Sunday. The pictures I took of the planks do not do justice for this product. If you are on the fence on this product, order a box just to see the amazing quality American Pacific provides.
I know this product is not for flooring, but I am so tempted to try it out in a walk-in closet for a rustic floor feel. I cannot wait to get my other colors so I can begin my accent wall.

The American pacific line of immigration shiplap is easy to install and adds a nice touch to any wall or in this case a pop up ceiling. I mixed a few boxes of different finishes to create a weathered look in a pop up ceiling. First I painted the ceiling flat black Incase I had any show through in the planks and then installed the wood on top of that. Everything went together nice and tight and the ceiling looks great.

I like the color and the texture of these planks. A material is a real wood. Planks don't bend or curve. No cracks while nailing. I cannot say anything about glueing them, but you have this option according the manufacture manual. Very easy to work with even for beginners. Looks very nice.
Two big cons. The planks are very expensive: one 5.5 in x 47.5 in board will cost you $4 each. Also the product has a very strong chemical smell. I have the planks for 2 weeks, but all my house still stinks.
If a high price and a strong chemical smell don't scary you, it's the right product for your project.

The American Pacific charred wood planking is beautiful. You have two options for installing, using either construction adhesive or brad nails. The grain has a great look and feel, and gives a very rustic feeling to a room. Installation requires leaving the planks in the room you intend to install it in for 72 hours so keep that in mind before making this your weekend project, and also recommends painting the wall to closely match the color of the planks to hide spacing.

This is a beautiful barnwood plank set that looks absolutely incredible in my place! The planking came well packaged with great imagery of potential layouts. I ended up getting three different colors of wood as well as some paneling nails that were the same color brown to easily conceal. I attached using a hammer and cutting the pieces with a buzzsaw. The results are simply incredible - it turned a boring tv wall into a total accent piece that makes my master bedroom feel so warm and cozy. Can't recommend highly enough!

My plan for this planking was on the wall behind a big soaker tub in a western themed bathroom. However, when I read the instructions, it is not for use in a high humidity area. So, I thought I would make a frame and use the planking to cover the frame making an elevated stand for indoor plants. I may still do that, but when I took the first two planks out of the box to play with them, the ends are pretty dinged up already. The distressed texture and the rich color are very nice and they may be fine for a very protected area, but I am not willing to spend all of my time touching them up (which is shown in detail on the box).
