Thanks for your inquiry. There are 2 options you can do. First, to cover up the seam, you can use a Faux Iron, Rubber strap. Available a continuous single screw bolt heads (Model No. 5APD10016) or a continuous double screw bolt heads (Model No. 5APD10015). They come in 41 and 42 inches long respectively and can be cut to size. Rubber straps give the illusion of a cast iron bracing strap which were common in the days of real timber construction. After installed most people won't be able to tell whether they are real or not.They can be installed easily by gluing them with PL premium adhesive. Secondly, if you really would like a continued beam, it might take some work. You need to butt them together by using a colored caulk. Try to get a colored caulk that matches the color of the beam.

Thanks for your inquiry. For Exterior applications it is recommended to use "UV" protecting clear coat. We suggest "Zar" oil based exterior polyurethane. Also it is recommended to us a high quality construction adhesive along with non corrosive screws or non corrosive nails.

Any cut beams are NOT returnable. If you need a sample piece to check out the product please email us at sales@americanprodecor.com with the Model Number. A 6 inch piece will be sent for your review.

Thanks for your inquiry. Staining Wood grained products may be stained to create a realistic look. We recommend the use of solid color deck gel stain in a variety of colors as desired. Apply the gel stain with a brush or sponge, coating the product with your base color. Next, using a wet sponge, wipe off the appropriate amount of stain to reach the desired shade. Allow this coat to completely dry, repeating the process with as many colors as you wish. If you would prefer your beams delivered finished, please select that option when ordering. Finished beams are delivered in a walnut-color using two different colors stains with the darkest color applied to highlight cracks, splits and knots
