Now you can easily and economically recreate the rustic look afforded by authentic, aged Medium Oak Beams with American Pro Decor finished hand hewn beams. Cast from the molds of genuine reclaimed wooden barn beams in high density polyurethane with exacting realism, American Pro Decor hand hewn beams not only convey all of the characteristic distressed markings and rugged texture of the wood beams that were hewn into shape by early settlers, they are indistinguishable from the originals after which they have been manufactured. Ideally suited for transforming ordinary houses, stores and restaurants into extraordinary, charming country style homes, shops and inns, American Pro Decor hollowed hand hewn beams are lightweight, sturdy and easy to install on virtually any type of surface by means of affixing them via countersunk nails or screws to nailing blocks or wood planks. To heighten the overall authenticity of an installation, American Pro Decor offers optional rubber beam strapping which perfectly replicate the look of the heavy, forged wrought iron fastening hardware used to secure and affix the beams of yesteryear in place.

    Thanks for your inquiry. Because of the Hand Hewn texture, sometime they might not match perfectly. The Hand Hewn texture is deep. We would recommend to use or Faux Rubber Straps.

    Thanks for your inquiry. For Exterior applications it is recommended to use "UV" protecting clear coat. We suggest "Zar" oil based exterior polyurethane. Also it is recommended to us a high quality construction adhesive along with non corrosive screws or non corrosive nails.

    I am not sure which braces you are talking about. If it is the faux metal brace that is actually cloth like no. I mounted a 2x4 to the ceiling. I then attached the beam to it using brown drywall screws. It is light. It holds well.

    Is there anybody in the chickasha Oklahoma area that puts these on.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE
    It’s hard to purchase online, I got a quote on real beams they were more than Triple the Price. I found another site with similar beams to these that you could get custom sizes for about double the price, then came across on HD website and took a chance. They came quick in a few days and the price was great. The material is light but surprisingly sturdy And when cutting didn’t flake or chip or take the finish off at all. Doesn’t come with instructions but if you are handy they are easy to install. The look surprised me the most, they look real, they are well made and the finish is awesome! I’m picky and like high end things, super critical of the look of things and I am extremely happy with this product. I ordered the straps the website recommended and they seem cheap and not wide enough for my taste so I’ll order new ones but that’s not a big deal to me since the beams are spot on! Love this product!

    Fantastic Product and Delivery
    Ordered 3 Faux Wood Beams, shipped in a timely matter, delivered to my door and were packaged very well. All beams were in perfect shape, consistent coloring and can be installed with using 2x6 for a perfect fit and very real looking. This product is amazing and adds a tremendous value to our home. I would highly recommend this product.

    I installed 4 beams in a living room, what a difference these made to the rustic look of the room...
    I installed 4 beams in a living room, what a difference these made to the rustic look of the room. The color was darker than I wanted so I lightened the beams and gave them a more distressed old world look with some painting techniques. They were easy to install and the client loves them. These beams look so real, it fools everyone!
