This is my 5th hottub but the first this small. I like the size of the spa. Its a little hard to move around in. It has a lip or rim type thing along the edge of the chaise area. Its pretty high, maybe 5 inches or so. So when getting out you have to maneuver over it. I've found if I swing my legs out then push myself up to the high portion of the chaise I can get out a little more gracefully. The tub is deep. It doesn't have cushions for your head so you may want to get some. Its pretty tall. I had to get steps.

The overall product is good.. the temperature control button does not work. You can turn the temperature up but the cool down button doesn’t work. We’ve called and a warranty claim has been issued. We’re still waiting for that repair. It’s been close to 3 weeks. Not being able to control the temperature is frustrating. The delivery was not as organized as it should have been. We received an email one morning saying it had been delayed until the next week, then around lunchtime on the same day we received a call stating that it would be delivered the next day... we’re excited to have the cool down button repaired. It certainly limits the amount of time we can spend in it with the temperature being at max temperature

Not the best quality.
Like many others experienced, this started leaking within 2 years.
Construction wasn't the best as they forgot to put a hole in the side panel to allow for drainage hose.
The panels are a pain to put back on once you unscrew them..just a poor design really.
The jets do work well and the interior looks good.
Overall, this is overpriced for the quality.

Nice tub but
I bought this tub 2 years before COVID and it was great. A few months ago it started to leak around one of the lights. It is now a little less than half full. Due to COVID I have been waiting since 6/3/21 for a replacement light from China. It is now 8/25/21 and I'm wondering if I should just have it winterized so the little bit of water does freeze and cause more damage.

I'm giving this product an excellent rating just because its size and design fit my needs perfectly. The tub is placed on a reinforced elevated deck and has been a real pleasure. The 110V system made installation a breeze and seems to work well (although I haven't ruled out switching to 220V).
I have noticed some issues with my control panel. The menu button seems to unexpectedly cycle the pump and the return button sometimes increments the last setting. Its usable, but doesn't seem to be working quite right.
The finish is very nice although mine is much more gray than tan as seen in the pictures. I noted one minor flaw (scrape) near the filter assembly that is not even visible when filled with water.
The seating is comfortable and the water level is deep enough. I will confirm another reviewer's concern regarding the high lip one must deal with while getting out of one of the preformed seats. (You literally just learn to 'roll' with it!) I'll add you can't quite stretch out completely flat in this seat, but you certainly can in the other one.
The jets on full speed are still fairly quiet and completely unnoticeable with headphones on.

They should have a review for "unknown ". The spa was delivered 6 months after I ordered it, in the middle of the snowiest winter in years. So it's still wrapped and unable to be hooked up.

Initial impressions are good. Seems like a good product at this price point. However, don't underestimate how heavy and awkward of an item this is! It took a bit longer to deliver than indicated due to COVID, but this is understandable. Perfect size for 1 person or a couple. I was able to purchase over Memorial day for $800 off. If you can wait, it may go on sale again. I am pleased with my purchase thus far!

Dont Buy - NO WARRANTY
Purchased less than a year ago, leaking tub. Called the company (CalSpa, which owns American Spa) - cant get anyone to fix the problem. Local people wont touch this tub since the manufacturer will not pay them for the repair. ie - there is no warranty. This all started pre-COVID, now they wont return my calls or emails.
RUN, dont walk, from this complany - PLEASE!!
