7-Person 30-Jet Premium Acrylic Bench Sterling Silver Spa Hot Tub with Backlit LED Waterfall

I was looking to get a new hot tub, including installation for under 5k. It didn't seem possible to get one from a local spa store at that price point so I did quite a bit of online searching. I finally decided on this one from American Spas. It looked like the best option to me when compared to the other economy spas. I was a little worried about purchasing a spa online without having seen it in person but I think this time the gamble paid off. To start off, American Spas is owned by Cal Spas, if there are issues or it needs service that's who you will call. here's the website http://american-spa.com/. Open up the brochure to get a number to call. The good -The spa looks great. I like the acrylic, the side panels look decent and the silver edging adds a nice touch. The cover looks good as well. 4 inches thick in the center down to 2.5 inches at the end. - It is solid. 800 pounds solid. Make sure your delivery company brings enough guys to get it off the truck... unlike mine. the truck had a lift gate but the lift was too small and the single driver needed our help to get it delivered. Make sure you have enough guys to get it where you need it. We were able to do it with two guys and a lawn tractor with the help of a platform and about 10 pieces of 10 ft pvc pipe to use as rollers. Worked pretty slick. - the jets and heater seem to work well so far. We use the diverter to increase the power to either side if you want more of a massage type jet. You can also manually close each individual jet if you want to increase it even further or just focus on one spot. - My kids like the LED lighting which you can change. The strobe light is a little trippy. -the not as good - there aren't very many review of this hot tub. I'll update this if needed. - When we were connecting the electric I had my first look inside the cabinet of the spa.... the only insulation is the silver bubble type that's about a quarter inch thick. I live in Minnesota and I don't think that's going to cut it up here over the winter. Planning to add some 1-2 inch thick solid foam insulation around the interior of the cabinet. That adds another $100 plus time. - there are only 30 jets and one pump. It's good they didn't try to run too many jets on one pump but if you want a full body massage experience this isn't it. Also, that one pump will be cycling on and off to keep the water circulating whenever the water needs to be heated or if it's time for a filter cycle. Hope it lasts. The good side to this is you only have one pump that can go bad. -cover might be a little thin for Minnesota winters. might need to add a blanket. - Still trying to figure out the chemicals. I have hard water and the instructions say to not use softened water. So right now I'm struggling to get my PH down. Not the tubs fault but if you have hard water you might want to consider getting a filter for your garden hose when you fill up the tub. I got one and I'll try it out on my next fillup. In conclusion, I would purchase this tub again considering the price point I'm trying to stay under. It looks great and functions well. The insulation is probably the biggest drawback right now but that can be fixed with only a little money and some time.

Got it a few weeks ago. Love it. Nice to jump in after work and relax. Sleep really well too after 30 minutes in the tub.

I purchased this a few months ago and my family and i have loved spending time relaxing especially after our long days of work and workouts.

We love this tub! We like in the midwest and this thing is waaay better than expected in regards to heating and insulating. We use it every night and actually like it better than our neighbors $10000 master spa. Even in 5 degree weather it more than can hold steady in the temp department when in use. We never have to set it hotter than we want to just keep it at the right temp. The seating arrangement is perfect as we did not want a lounger (or as we call it: a floater) and it is getting hard to find with out one. The quality of the shell is amazing (exactly the same “fiber steel” as cal spa. The heather is 5kw and the pump is PLENTY powerful to run all the jets at the same time. We love this and have ZERO regrets spending so much on it :)

This is our first hot tub, after long and tedious research I ended up settling on this unit as the best bang for the buck. Especially since it went on sale during my search which made it easier to pull the trigger. Outside of a house or a car this is one of the biggest purchases we have made. It took about 3 months for it to arrive, however we did order it right at the beginning of the covid outbreak. They did communicate with us along the way with extended ship dates and very well communicated from the time it shipped until arrival in my drive way. This thing in its shipping and on a double pallet is HUGE. You will definitely need a Professional hot tub mover to move it from your driveway to where you want it placed. We attempted to muscle it with a few guys and a homemade skid and quickly realized it is just too heavy plus trying to unpack it and lay it over without damaging it. This tub is well built and looks like a $10,0000 tub to us, it heats up fast, it has very powerful jets, almost to powerful for me personally but my wife loves it. Each jet is adjustable to rectify that problem plus it has a low speed(lazy river) or high speed(white rapids) Also has various adjustments for each half of the tub and aerator. we have used it almost every night for the past 5 months with ZERO problems. Has ran flawless since the first day we powered it up. Could not be more satisfied with this product.

What a great purchase. Takes longer to get than they say, and Home Depot will not update the status , even after the expected delivery date has passed. I recommend getting the Home Depot order number for the manufacturer, and callin them yourself for best updates.

Purchased less than a year ago, leaking tub. Called the company (CalSpa, which owns American Spa) - cant get anyone to fix the problem. Local people wont touch this tub since the manufacturer will not pay them for the repair. ie - there is no warranty. This all started pre-COVID, now they wont return my calls or emails. RUN, dont walk, from this complany - PLEASE!!
