Questions & Answers

Where should the bottom row of tile finish on the alcove base? Due to the large radius I can't see how the tile will rest on the horizontal surface of the base. Should it be held up to the first beveled line? Just below the cement board.

Asked by: vinman6
The tile should rest on the horizontal surface of the shower deck edge.

My plumber installed a model 2602 acrylic base using an expanding foam material. Is foam ok? The base is out of level about 1/2 inch, front to back, preventing water from completely draining. Is this out of level condition acceptable?

My plumber has secured pan to studs by screwing through tiling flange.  I believe this is wrong, but your install spec does not specifically say not to do it.  Your thoughts please?

I am looking for a white 40.25-In x 40.25-in shower tray to replace an existing unit.  Do you sell such a thing?  If not can you tell me who might?

Asked by: StumpnPam
We do not offer a shower tray in that size. Maybe try an on line search.
