The cold and hot handle assemblies does not slide all the way down over the adapter and this does not allow the handle assembly to contact the deck adapter. How do I remedy this?

Does the tub filler on this model swivel (right and left) at all, or is it completely fixed?

I want to have the spout on one end of the tub and the valves and handheld on the other. Will the flex hose kit enable this? Are the fittings on the ends of the flex hoses standard so that I could add additional flex hose? Anything else needed?

Asked by Hopewell Homeowner December 2, 2015
1
Answer

This is not something we would recommend as our flex hose would not allow this type of installation, nor do we offer extension hoses. The connections on the hose are standard 1/2".

I have installed the 7430.901. The hand shower does not default back to the spout after turning off the water. Is this normal? If so, does the hand shower have a vacuum breaker or backflow preventer?

Asked by Charlie Cole July 25, 2015
1
Answer

There is a diverter on this faucet that determines where the water comes out of.

Defective & Poor Customer Serivice
Customer review from logo
Looks like a nice unit but mine arrived defective (deflector lever won't move). After more than 3 hours on hold over 3 call attempts I finally got through to American Standard's so called customer service to confirm that it was defective. Due to their poor telephone support, I'd never purchase from this company again. I recently called one of their competitors for a kitchen faucet warranty problem and got great service.
