how loud is the flush cycle?

Pressure toilets make a whooshing sound typically. Proposed application is in church without good soundproofing in walls, so excessive noise would be annoying. What is sound db of flush cycle?
Asked by: Cj
Extremely, but it literally lasts one second.

How powerful is flush? Having a problem with toilet installed over a slab and thinking it is related to lack of gravity/height of flow into septic? Current Kohler toilet 6 yrs old, have had nothing but trouble with it.
Asked by: Vee
Extremely powerful. That's what I was looking for, and it delivers.

Who makes the power assisted flush valve for this toilet? (e.g.-flushmate, eco-tel, sloan, etc.)

Asked by: TomG
Suggestion: Call American Standard, since 3 of 4 answers show different flush valve manufactures, It's possible the manufacturer uses different valves in the same unit.

Cadet 2-Piece 1.6 GPF Tall Height Pressure-Assisted Elongated Toilet in White, Seat Not Included is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Have to clean out toilet every single time unless it's all liquid. Even putting lysol toilet bow... Have to clean out toilet every single time unless it's all liquid. Even putting lysol toilet bowl cleaner in it won't flush the cleaner untill about 5 flushes, you can clearly see the blue cleaner still attached around the sides !!! I'm now having to use at least 5g of water and Law to only have 1.28 or 1.6 toilets? Who decided this??? You can't even flush your toilet to take the waste away. It wastes way more water having to flush it several times in a row to be able to leave the toilet clean for the next person not see what you did.... Can't flush your toilet but you can water lawn, wash dishes run your bath and shower all morning as long as you like? Oh I guess they won't allow me to use water long enough to get the conditioner out of my hair next. So I'm searching every review on other toilets and it's all the same.... Flushes hard and so quick with very little water that nothing that's sticking on the sides goes down! You have to flush over and over to get it off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A mixed response In terms of functionality this toilet does a good job. The internal mechanism works fine, and it was, for the most part, easy to install. I give it a lower rating because the tank lid is not engineered very well. The lid does not fit well to the top of the tank so I had to super glue rubber washers to keep it from grinding on the top of the tank. Likewise, the fitting between the tank and the stool was less than ideal. I tightened the nuts as much as I dare, but the tank still wobbled ominously. I inserted more rubber washers into the space at equal intervals around the base before tightening just a little more. Both solutions seemed to solve the problems, but I was not terribly pleased. I installed an American Standard Pressure Assist toilet in one of the bathrooms of our old house and never had a problem with it. If given a do-over, I would probably purchase that brand over this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expected better Install went ok , sits on the floor just fine with no rocking or wax ring issues. But the tank set up whoa no matter how much you tighten it just doesn't feel secure. I felt like it was gonna break but I got it. Lid top on tank does not seem to fit just right. There's a weird filling noise after flush called customer service sent me new internal part did not fix noise. Toilet flushes poor sometimes it will clear a heavy load but depending on orientation of waste and toilet paper it will clog on a small load. I bought this for a recroom toilet thinking that bit of extra water and power ill help it did not the kohler gravity I installed up stairs does a much better job and no issues. And yes plumbing is correct thru whole house done by professionals no hick ups. I do not recommend this toilet it's not the same as your power flushes you may have at work

Pros: (1) Toilet installed the same way as traditional one, no adjustment required on the power flush component. (2) Flush is very powerful. Cons: (1) no bolt and wax ring in box - had to buy in another trip and can't find the convenient plastic nuts similar to other American Standard (traditional) toilets. (2) Horrible loud: even louder than the pressure-assisted toilet in my office (Gerber). Installed by myself a few days ago and have no problem. Like it as it delivers power flush as expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed with this purchase The toilet installed easily, but that's about all I can say good about this toilet. It seems like it should have a powerful flush from the sound it makes, but it doesn't do a good job clearing the bowl. There are many times it takes 5 or more flushes to clear the bowl. It really doesn't even do a good job clearing just urine and toilet paper. Even that task can take 2 or 3 flushes. It mostly just dilutes the contents each time. I decided to spend a bit more money on a toilet this time and get something powerful, but this toilet has been a big let down. I'm ready to replace it just after a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A product that does its job extremely well This toilet replaced one that did not clean the bowl. This toilet does this job extremely well. If there is a downside to it, it is the noise it makes when flushing. It is very loud. However, that is the sound of rushing water flushing down. I find it a very pleasant sound telling me things are going down the tube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toilet I didn't expect much improvement over a similar toilet that was 10-years old and was prone to clogging. However, I now call this toilet the "big gulp" as it sucks down any size load quickly and quietly with a small amount of water. Apparently the redesign included a larger diameter discharge hole between the tank and the bowl for better flow and a redesigned bowl that concentrates the action to the center, rather than swishing around the perimeter. While the load disappears, it can't be going far and I'm thinking that the recommendation that one hold down the handle for a full tank discharge with large loads is wise advice for the homeowner, but not to be expected or needed of occasional house guests. Kudos to American Standard.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent at what it's really meant for -- the Big One! Depending on what your needs and expectations are, you should either love this toilet or merely be happily impressed with it. If you have a toilet or plumbing system that struggles to take care of business in one flush, this does a fantastic job, but not without a quirk or two. Mainly, it will struggle every once in a while to flush down even a small amount of toilet paper alone. This might be because the paper sits on the ledge-like surface at the front of the bowl, or because the flushing action just works better with solids in the bowl, IDK which. But it does excel at handling a heavy load with one flush. I did manage to crack/chip the porcelain enamel around one of the mounting bolts but did not crack the mount itself. IDK if that is a sign of a thin/weak coating or just a random thing, but not something I'm used to seeing in other installations.
