Why is it so hard to get a bone color toilet?or even order 1 everything is white?

Asked by Blane April 5, 2021

Blane, White is the most common model since it goes with anything. Bone and linen generally need to be special ordered. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

Asked by Lexi April 3, 2021

Thanks to all who answered. It creaks NO MORE, and I love this toilet...flushes great every time. I think the wax ring in the bottom just had to"seat" and now no more creaks....no more scraping sound of china.

What are the as packaged diminsions?

Asked by Cnb March 28, 2021

Call your local Home Depot (Customer Service) and ask the CS Rep to take a tape measurer and measure the box. They can look up where it is in their store (if they have any in inventory). OR Call my usual store in Gainesville, FL 352-332-7440 and tell Customer Service they have 3 in stock (Aisle 05, Bay 012) and ask them to get measurements for you. They are good people in that store and this is a great product. It saves water and a complete flush every time (2 years).

Base Wobbles Side to Side
I installed toilet and tightened down flange nuts as much as I dared. Bowl wobbles from side to side because front and back of base touch floor, but sides are concave where the bolts are and don't reach floor. Old toilet sat flush all around, and floor is perfectly flat. (Checked with a level.) I'll need to remove and return toilet.

Worst experience
Bought this American Standard based on good reviews. Had plumber come to house Saturday morning, $90/hour. Opened box, completely sealed, never opened. Notice no wax ring that was supposed to be included. Not the end of the world, plumber had one. cost me and extra $5. Plumber removes old toilet. Puts in new bowl. Easy. Ready to attach tank. Now here it comes....the gasket for the bottom of tank that came with toilet, sealed in plastic bag, is wrong size. BIG problem. I have a plumber charging me $90 an hour. I have to run back to a crowded home depot which is 15 minutes away. I didn't want to mess with another American Standard, so bought Kohler, same price. Got back home, plumber waiting for me in driveway. Took out AS toilet, installed Kohler. Kohler is perfect So I get charged 2 hours for a 1 hour job. The best HD can do is give me $50 off my next purchase. So I still lose $40 plus the hassle of having to run down to HD, buy another toilet, and take the first toilet back. Will never buy another American Standard product again.

Works well, but.....
Installed this winter of 2018. About 1 yr. ago, a crack in the bowl became evident. No leaks so far but a bit concerning.

Much-needed upgrade
I had been toying with the idea of upgrading the three toilets in my home for some time. When my elderly parents recently moved in, I noticed they were having trouble with the low height on the old toilets and I knew it was time. Mt three new toilets have been in for less than a day. The installs were very easy and all took less than 1.5 hours. I am very happy with them. The increased height has proven to be exactly what was needed and the powerful flush and low water consumption are both appreciated features. One thing I noticed is that the bowls seem to be slightly smaller than my previous toilets. I transferred my after-market wooden seats to the new toilets and they all seem slightly oversized.

Outstanding Toilet, old toilet was 50 years old and had a 3.5 gal tank. This toilet does the job with less than 1/2 the water. Installation in under an hour with two people. Looking to replace my other two guzzlers with the same model. Meets all expectationsm

Great value and product
Installed by myself. Installation was easy, taking about 40 minutes as this was my first time doing such a thing. I used the better than wax ring from Flowmaster rather than the supplied wax ring. I have an 11 1/2" rough in, but it fits nicely though very closely to the wall. While the specifications say single flush, it's really a two flush system - a quick press of the handle will handle most liquid and solid waste, but if you hold down the handle it'll empty all the water from the tank giving a full, power flush for larger solid waste. The height is great and looks good in our remodeled bathroom. About the only negatives I can say about this toilet is that it has a chrome handle so I'll need to get swap it out with a brushed nickle one. Even with the water adjustment set at the lowest setting, the water level is higher than what it should be. Lastly, the supplied toilet seat, while is a soft close, feels very cheap and I expect it to crack from the hinges requiring a replacement within a year. Overall though, we really like this toilet. It's quiet, sturdy and since it's made by American Standard, I'd expect it to last for years without any issues.

Fantastic toliet, I highly recommend it. Don't spend the money on a more espensive toliet unless you just have extra money. Flushes just as good as the American Standard Champion 4 Max my father bought for his bathroom which I put in, $159 for Cadet 3 Flowise vs $200 plus for American Standard Champion 4 Max. I read some reviews on the Cadet 3 Flowise and am glad I did, two reviews have video clips showing you how to adjust the flapper to flush stronger and man am I glad I watched them. The flapper has 10 settings from 1 thru 10. The 1 setting doesn't flush worth a crap (pun) and 10 allows the flapper to stay open longer for a really strong flush. One reviewer was titled JoeConsumer, watch it to learn how to make this toliet flush like a pressure assisted toliet. You will be very happy with this toliet, I have put many in my life and its a snap. Comes with a wax ring but I got a better thicker one which I always do. Also it was recommended to get a better toliet sead than it comes with, again a good suggestion. I got the Kohler slow close for $29 bucks, works like a charm. Hope all this is helpful!

Nice, Quality Toilet
Purchased 3 of these to replace 16 year old toilets that were malfunctioning in one way or another. The American Standard Cadet 3 toilet is a nice quality toilet. The flush function is quick and fairly quiet compared to the old ones we had. Flush gets debris down 99% of the time. On rare occasions does a piece of toilet paper remain. The tall height is great if you are a tall person. I'm 5'6" and the toilet is a tad bit too high for me. My feet are on the ground for the most part, but not all the way. Love the elongated bowl and the slow close seat and lid.
