Disappointed with redesign
Bought this to replace the original American Standard seat whose slow close mechanism had failed. The new seat is harder to clean because of sharply projecting 'lugs' molded into bottom of the seat and the lid. It also lacks the quick release feature that easily allowed the original seat to be removed from the toilet bowl for deep cleaning.

Notice in the attached photo how the lid doesn't match the bowls shape along the right hand edge.

This seat will fit your Cadet 3 perfectly. The design of the lid covers the seat for a seamless look.
Pros: Easy to install & looks great. Covers on screws eliminate dirt build-up.
Cons: Roundness of surface of the seat might not be for everyone. If you are used to a flat seat, this might not be the style for you.

Nice slow closing seat
We ordered this bone colored elongated seat with the American Standard toilet. Pretty pricey @ $50. The color is slightly lighter than the bone colored toilet we got it with.

The image is pretty misleading. I've included some more accurate photos.
First impression was "Well this isn't what I ordered."
Installed it anyway. Installation was quick and easy. Includes spacers and gaskets, which I had never seen included with a toilet seat before. Slow close function works as it should. The seat feels thin and flimsy in my opinion, though.

LOVE this toilet seat!
Great addition to my new toilet! It was easy to install, and I love how it has a soft close lid! And the little tab to lift the seat up is nice! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Pretty good
The slow close feature is great. Actually closes almost too slow. The seat is a bit rounded which will feel different if you're accustomed to flat seats. I bought it to match the Cadet 3 toilet and am happy with it.
