will this work on 11 inch rough

You need to make sure you measured correctly, as most toilets are either 10" or 12" rough in. This particular toilet is a 10", so I don't believe it would fit in your 11"; but be sure to measure correctly -

Hello, Thank you for reaching out to the American Standard Consumer Connection Team. American Standard does not offer any toilets that are taller than 16.5" ADA requirements are that toilets must be within 17" to 19" tall including a seat. Seats generally add approximately 2" to the overall height of the toilet, thus we don't offer any bowls that are taller than 16/.5" to ensure they comply with the ADA standards. If there is anything we can assist you in the future, please feel free to contact us at 1-855-815-0004 Monday – Friday, 8AM – 7PM EST or Saturday 10AM – 4PM and an American Standard Consumer Connection Advisor will be happy to assist you.

Can this be mounted 9 1/2 inches from finished wall?

Tim, Thanks for the question on the American Standard Cadet 10" toilet. This will be pretty close if you actually only have 9-1/2". There is approximately 5/8" space between the back of the tank lid and the wall. You may need to get on offset floor flange to have enough clear space. Does this model have a "360" flush from top of bowl? To get stuff on edge of bowl

Asked by William July 3, 2020

Will, Thanks for the question on the American Standard Cadet toilet. There are rim holes all around the rim of the bowl to assist in cleaning the bowl itself during flushing However if your main concern is how the insides of the bowl gets cleaned, you should review the American Standard Vormax series toilets, which has industry leading bowl cleaning performance. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

I was disappointed with the new toilet from day 1. After flush, the water would not fill up the tank unless I manually touch the fluidmaster chain (see pictures). Also, I noticed, compared with the picture from AS website (also attached), the fluidmaster tube and valve in my new toilet is located too close to the corner walls which I suspect is the cause of water not filling up the tank because the trigger got stuck against the wall unless I manually released it. It is very frustrating!!!

I’m very disappointed with this purchase this toilet was expensive to be manufactured with poor quality.. I just figured out my toilet is leaking and eventually stops on its own water my bill came up 200$+ dollars more this month due to it leakin!!! The problem is the floater doesn’t have enough space to rise on its own..it is too close to the tank wall.

Nice toilet for it's small stature
I was kind of backed into a corner, literally, with this toilet. I have a large home with several bathrooms, but this one bathroom in particular required a toilet with a 10" bolt pattern and had to be shorter than 27" to still allow the door to close. This toilet was the only candidate that I could find that met all of my very strict criteria. Typically I like 12" bolt pattern, elongated bowls, and pressure-assisted flushes, but I just couldn't get those options for this location without paying an astronomical amount. This toilet handles itself well considering it's small round bowl size and tiny tank. The flush is pretty strong considering, although I have had a couple moments that required a few flushes. The toilet was super easy to install, possibly the easiest toilet I've ever had to install, and from start to finish it only took about an hour. That hour included removing the old toilet and silicone from the floor, removing the old wax ring, installing the new wax ring, bolting the toilet to the ground, bolting the tank to the toilet, hooking up a new water line, and siliconing around the base. That's pretty quick. If you absolutely have to have a small bowl, 10" bolt pattern toilet, that's economical, this is the one to buy.

Needs better Quality Assurance
Toilet looks great and flushed great too but the float & valve defective from the start. Also not many option for a 10" version which is required in small spaces. At first I could hear water running faintly but got worst after a week progression. I tried pulling up on the float valve but it continued to let water flow out so ended up having to shut water off. I hope to change this to 5 star if American Standard can give me a working replacement without too much problems. Also hope it's not too much trouble swapping out.

Thank You! to Benny in store #4403 for advising me about self-installation of a new American Standard Cadet 3 toilet. My 60+ YO (5 gal/flush) old toilet finally started leaking at the floor level last week, so I needed to replace it. Because the home was built in the 1940s (after WWII), there was limited space between the floor bolts and the back wall. Purchased a toilet kit (10" rough-in bolt pattern), silicone ring sewer seal, braided water line connector & water line shut-off valve. Brought it home for what I expected to be a difficult replacement process. Hardest part was locating the house water line shut-off valve. The rest of the removal/replacement work was fairly easy; just followed the clear instructions included with toilet and ring. Love my new Water-Wise toilet! It flushes quickly and thoroughly. I am still amazed that only 1.28 gallons of water is used per flush. Thank You AMERICAN STANDARD & HOME DEPOT!

It Does its job, sometimes...
After installing the supplied soft close lid flush with the front of the toilet, i realized the lid would not stay up because of the angle. I moved it all the way forward(sticking about an inch and a half past the toilet bowl and not at least the lid will stay up. The seat falls, so you better pee quick before it falls or hold it up. The other issue is you need to hold the lever down for about 4 seconds to get it to flush. Doesn't seem like its that big of a deal until you have people over and they dont know that and you open the lid to a nice smelly mess. Options were limited at the store for a 10 inch. Luckily this was for the new basement bath while we re-do the upstairs so it wont see much use when we are done.

This toilet does not flush as strong as advertised. I don't know if it is because of the installation of the toilet, or the toilet itself, as the plumber had to make several trips to my home during installation. I have an American Standard Challenge 4, and it flushes well. I am very unhappy with the plumbers Home Depot uses. It was clear that the Plumber took a few short cuts during installation, and the company sent another plumber to fix the shortcuts.
