I'm so disappointed in the material and finish of the overflow cover with the American Standard logo. It is made of a thin plastic and has a thin, metallic finish. This part should be from a metal material or be constructed from a heavier gauge plastic. The finish of the part should have a deeper coating. At this very high price I can only feel that the quality is substandard. Home Depot delivered quickly, as promised. American Standard has not built a worthy product.

The Americast tub has an insulated lining, the screws are a 1/2" too short. This is not a good item for it's thin-walled pipe and cheapest-possible components. The plastic drain cover is destined to be damaged as it is cheap and soft. Oh, yeah, let me repeat myself, the SCREWS weren't long enough either! My remodeler created a ton of solutions for my dual bathroom remodel and getting rid of these were his solution. There are other, brass-piped solutions that work perfectly with the Cambridge Americast soaking tubs and are far more sturdy and run $20-$25 less than this piece of junk. Avoid the hassle and expense.

It is a nice drain assembly, all the components fit well together, and it was easy to install, the reason I would offer 3 stars is because of the exhorbitant price, it is double what it should be for something constructed almost entirely of plastic
