mike 1960, It sounds like you may need a new cartridge or you can remove it and flush it out. Also, check your aerator and see if it may be clogged. Sincerely, your American Standard Consumer Connection Team

Same here. No way to fix but buy a new fixture with higher gallons per minute. This is 1.5 GPM. Sad. Really loved the fixture

Instead of putting the faucet in front of the sink I wanted to put it on the side of  the sink,  with the handle behind the faucet instead of to the side.  Will that work or will I lose too much range of motion?

Asked by Darl August 22, 2018
1
Answer

Darl, we would not recommend positioning the faucet with the handle in the back. The range of motion would be limited, as well as the handle could be restricted by the backsplash when tilted out to turn on the water flow. - Sincerely American Standard Tech Team

Is there a way to raise the horizontal bar that holds the spray assembly piece in place? If possible I'd like the bottom of the sprayer to be positioned higher above the sink.

Dear jdf21, No, I am sorry but there is no way to raise the bar. Sincerely, AS Customer Care Tech Team

I looked at a lot of faucets at Lowes and Home Depot, even "touch-less" ones; I chose this one. I've had the faucet for about 2 months now Following is my review: PROS: - Looks good! - Seems to be quality construction (should be, it's pricey!) - I like the "button" that selects/switches between steady stream & spray. Be careful of selecting "slide" switch faucets that have one bar/switch for toggling between stream & spray. I bought a slide switch faucet before and it (switch) failed within 4 months. - Liked the integrated hot & cold water hoses that are part of the faucet - but wish they were about 6 inches longer- they barely made it to the water connection. CONS: - Believe it or not, the instructions weren't clear enough on the assembly of the handle part of the faucet. The faucet came "pre-assembled" for the most part - but the handle I found later on wasn't on all the way and was coming off - something I didn't know because the instructions weren't clear on handle installation. - Liked the integrated hot & cold water hoses that are part of the faucet - but wish they were about 6 inches longer- they barely made it to the water connection.

Versatility and class in our Laundry room
We bought the faucet for a different use case - to class up our laundry room. The hose and different sprays are perfect for prepping kid's laundry and it's appearance is driving me to move up our laundry room renovation. Here are my thoughts Pros: 1.) Great appearance 2.) Metal construction - it's heavy, durable, copper where water might reach it and transitions well from base to handle to spring 3.) Easy installation - The ability to not only tighten up the main nut, but secure it further with three collar tightening screws means this won't be coming loose no matter how much I tug on it 4.) Spray options - I didn't realize when I got it but the adjustable streams to include a power setting and a mister are perfect for our use 5.) Ease of movement - the arm that holds the end can be rotated to side to side if you need to fill the whole sink and the springed hose allows for easy motion allowing you to get the head anywhere you need it - then return to it's form Cons 1.) No eustachian plate included - all other single posts faucets I've bought included the plate as an option. Not sure how fair this is given my use case, but my parents kitchen sink is a three hole design and it would have been a problem for them too. 2.) Plastic spray head - I didn't realize it was plastic, but likely what allows it to have it's various spray settings. Personally I'd still prefer this to be metal

Slick Faucet and Easy to Install
I've installed more than 10 faucets at this point. Kitchen faucets are usually the least fun because you're in a cramped space having to manipulate clumsy channel locks (which I always drop on my face). It's pretty terrible usually. But the installation with this faucet took *maybe* 5 minutes. Seriously. The locking ring on the backside of this faucet can be hand tightened and then secured further using 3 phillips-head screws. I needed a pair of hands to hold the faucet in place for 2 minutes while I tightened from underneath. No channel locks needed! It took more time to remove the old faucet than install this Edgewater unit. The faucet looks great and works well. I did think it had a leak at first , as it was leaking UPWARD from the spray nozzle. It turns out that something loosened during installation or maybe shipping. I could feel something tighten up when twisting the nozzle and the leaking then stopped. So keep that in mind. The toggle button works well and if you turn the faucet off while in the spray position, it will reset back to the regular faucet flow. There is also a pause button above the toggle button but it doesn't pause the water 100%. There is still a drizzle when I press the button. Since I doubt I'll be using the feature, it's not a big deal to me. What does matter to me is the heaviness of this faucet. It's quite substantial and nothing feels chintzy. It feels like a nice, quality product. And boy is it pretty!

Not for every kitchen
Nice looking faucet that is not very practical for the average kitchen. This product is described as “semi-professional”. I am a home owner, not a “professional”. The extension of the spray head is minimal and if you happen to let it out of your hand with the water on it will spring and spray everywhere. I like American Standard and will replace this product with another that my wife and I feel will be more easily controlled and more useful in a practical sense. In fact, I’ve already ordered a replacement and will return this to Home Depot.

Monica, I'm sorry to see you aren't completely satisfied with your American Standard Edgewater kitchen faucet. This does have a lower flow, it's maximum gallons per minute is 1.5 gallons. We put a lot of thought into our products, so it is unfortunate whenever we do not meet a customer’s expectations. Terrible low flow / pressure
I installed both 4932.350 and 4932.410 in a new kitchen. The water pressure in the building is excellent, but the restricted flow from the faucets is weak at best and unacceptable. Client is furious. Can this low flow be improved? Where is the restricted?

Issues with sprayer and hose
After having this product for about a year and a half, the sprayer switch started to malfunction to the point where there would barely be any water pressure. Eventually it got bad enough that when I would turn it on, water would start to leak out of the hose part of it. I replaced the sprayer, but when I turn on the fan and mist functions, water still comes out through the twists on the hose. The faucet itself is great, just these couple of issues make it a little difficult to use.
