The side sprays are made of plastic so that if they drop into the sink they won't crack it.

Faucet is leaking from center arch at the bottom when the water is turned on and off on  left side. How do I fix the problem?  Do I have to go under the sink? Is there  a seal?  Portsmouth High arch w model 4285.551

Answer

If it is leaking under the spout base you would need a seal. The o ring number is A912621-0070A. If it is leaking around the handle bases you would need a cartridge. Part number 994053-0070A. Please contact our customer care line at 800-442-1902 for parts assistance.

You have to use the base on the installation for this particular faucet.

How do I get the nut off that holds the faucet to the base?

Most of the nuts can either be twisted off with fingers or a wrench.

The faucet is very nice looking, but it drips—which is why I replaced the previous older faucet. This has the expensive ceramic cartridge which I thought was supposedly to prevent that. I can’t afford to pay a plumber yet again to replace this! Quite disappointed actually.
