    The drain opening and overflow opening are an industry standard size so any standard bath drain will connect to the tub.

    matchap - Yes, there is a version that is the bathtub only. Which only has holes for the drain and overflow.

    Wonderful Soaking Tub
    This purchase will be the 3rd time we have bought this tub, it's the only one my wife wants to consider!! It has enough of an incline for her back that it's just comfortable... :) She is in it every evening after dinner, and it's her therapy, and it prevents Covid! Lol Cast/enamel tubs have a feel like no others.

    I am really pleased with the new Americast bath tub. It is just the perfect size. The only thing I don't like is the foot of the tub is rounded and doesn't allow your feet to fit flat against the tub. Much easier to keep clean than the acrylic tub we replaced.

    Love this tub! Very comfy.
    Quality tub. Took my first bath in it yesterday and was very impressed with its comfort. The edge is sloped so your head rests very comfortably when laying down. I'm 5'4" and could stretch my legs out completely while laying down with only my head out of the water. The lip around the tub is large enough to set bottles of shampoo, etc.

    Alot of work for an alcove installation.
    My plumber friend said he would never put an Americast tub in his house.He said because of the way they're made it's easy to chip the paint.Unfortunately I had allready ordered it,and with Home Depot,once you place that order you're getting the tub wether you want it or not.Also for the unexperienced,this is a drop-in tub,it can be used in an alcove if you buy the tile bead kit,and build some sort of waterproof apron wall,which like the other reviewer said,this will add a couple inches to the width,but you wont find that info.on AS's or HD's web site unless you're really looking for it,and then you still might not... so....just so you know.

    looked nice but...
    As it turns out since it is a drop in tub, it still needed an added wall support on the floor side which creates another width made it flush to the doorway. I will have to return it for a slightly narrower width. Wish I knew that to begin, but Home Depot has a great three months return time frame for exchanges. Another note is although the tub is acrylic it has a metal base.
