Suggestion is to buy gutter guard made of aluminum with slats. These plastic ones last just a little over a year before they sag and warp in the sun.

I found that with the smaller mesh side up was easier to install. Glossy side down.

We had no issue with them going next to each other with no gaps and we did not have to cut at all.

If your roof has a gutter then yes, it can be installed. They attach to the gutter face and be cut down to any size to accommodate the gutter width.

I'm sure they do for a extra cost. I installed mine myself, very easily. Had to cut a few to correct size, just used scissors to cut them.

Will this work for a 4 inch gutter?

Yes. They are easy to cut down to size as needed. Using tin snips is the easiest and most effective way to cut them.

Works really well. Corners are not great. Had to cut a couple down and superglue them to make corners. Your gutter mounts need to be about every 12-18” for best results. Remember they are 36-½” long not 36”. So plan your gutter mounts to have one every 36-½” on center. I then split it with one at 18” for support. On our west side (high wind and rain) I did mountain every 12”

Working well
These have been meeting my expectations. Since they are plastic, you can bend it well to fit under the shingles. The snap to hold on to the gutter doesn't really 'snap' for my gutters. Installed a week or so ago and had a big rainstorm and they held up well and helped reduce the overflow.

These gutter guards work great ... installed ours 10 years ago and are about to replace due to a new roof project. Held up well over that time period. Does the job at a reasonable price.

I installed 117 of the gutter covers around my house. The screen wire on top will keep the Mesquite tree leaves out of the rain gutters. My gutters are too thick to install covers like instructions to snap over front edge. I had to push them in groove under front edge. I also had to trim some material to clear a shingle nail and to fit under shingles on corners. I did over lap then 3 inches. I found instructions on www.amerimax.com. I had to work to get some to fit. But finally got all installed. I wish they came in brown color. My house looks like I have a white border around it. I have a brown roof.

these gutter guards are horrible. they are easily warped by the sun and can then fall into the gutter. that lets in debris that then clogs the gutter. that causes gutter overflow during downpours and water in our basement. wish i could take them back, but it's past 90 days. you can't even call amerimax customer service for help. just contact through their web site. lame

Fatal design flaw
I bought 400' of this product over a 2 year period for my house, porch cover and shop. I am now going to return all of it. The fatal flaw: When installed properly, the product has a slight bow in it thus keeping it tight in the gutter hooks. OK. But this bow means that the front of the gutter guard slopes down toward the front of the gutter, and the back of the gutter guard slopes slightly toward the back of the gutter. The problem with this design is that in some spots - due to the natural waviness of vinyl gutter systems - the back edge of the white portion overhangs the back of the gutter just a tiny bit in and thus drips water behind the gutter. This is only in some areas, but it means my wood pile gets wet as does my covered deck and it means the fascia board stays soaked all winter. It is an exasperating problem to examine because the wide, clear, vinyl seal-like structure that you see in the picture is pressed up against the fascia board which makes it appear from the top like there is no way water could be leaking behind the gutters. But it isn't leaking from the top, is actually dripping through the guard, and then making its way UNDER the guard toward the back where it then finds the back edge of the gutter. Even a tiny overhang will produce a steady drip drip drip all rainy season - which is 9 months here in Western Washington. (For Amerimax should they actually read this: A relatively inexpensive extrusion die change would fix this problem: Just change the profile so there is a drip guard underneath on the back side of the product.)
