AnswersThe table will not lower on its own but any significant weight will cause the top to lower if not fully extended.

Nice table, but phone a friend for help!
So let me start off by saying, if you had legos as a child you will enjoy making this table. In theory this table seemed pretty easy to build by yourself. I definitely recommend a second persons help. Or it may take you a while to complete the whole table. In total I spent about 4 hours building this over the span of 2 days. I ran into a little trouble using Cam locks, as I was not familiar with them. The completed table is pretty sturdy and well worth the sweat and cursing that went into it!

This table is quite nice. It arrived in good condition...
This table is quite nice. It arrived in good condition and with all parts. Very heavy so make sure to have someone help lift. Wood is solid and the top is especially nice and thick with realistic wood-grain texture. The directions are accurate and clear. I put it together alone in about 2 hours using hand tools except for screwing the top into the lifting mechanism, that took two of us and a power drill. Directions require using wood glue for the pegs and a small tube is provided but it’s not enough. I ran out halfway through and had to use my own wood glue which isn’t a big deal. Very stable once fully assembled and the lift top mechanism is smooth and silent. I am happy with the purchase!

Very nice and very well made coffee table! Very easy to assemble! I love the shelves on the side and lift top. I think price is right too. Delivery was on time and coffee table was well packed.
