AnswersI can tell you that the blade has "USA Tempered" struck into it and sports a US Patent Number. This suggests to me it was probably assembled somewhere else BUT ... I can tell you it is sturdy. Blade is very thick, handle is a hard wood, No matter where it was assembled, it is quality.

I PURCHASED THIS DRAIN SPADE FOR PLANTING 1000 TREES AT MY FARM. IT IS UP TO 400 TREES AND STILL GOING, HOPEFULLY IT ATTRACTS
MORE SPADES TO HELP FOR MY DAUGHTER AND I (AND MY 3 YR OLD GRANDSON) ARE WEARING OUT EVEN THOUGH THE SHOVEL ISN'T. THE SHOVEL EVEN DUG UP A LARGE MILK CONTAINER A FOOT UNDER (THE FARM IS 300 YRS OLD SO WE FIND STUFF ALL THE TIME)

A relatively light-to-lift spade with a good blade contour. The wider flange for the foot is a big plus in my mind. Will use it to shape post holes to proper depth and width for 6" by 6" wooden fence braces and 9"+ diameter fence posts for a cattle gate. Blade appears quite durable but I wish the leading edge was sharper. I'll fix that myself.

A very efficient tool.
I was skeptical about a trenching with a spade in my dry clay soil; but I was wrong.
This tool was like digging a cake with spoon.
i do really appreciate it.
it is very easy to use; just give a push with your foot, and there it goes down...
Nice engineering design behind the manufacturing; and it is made in the USA too!
