I'm not sure how one uses it as a cultivator, since that's not what I use it for. I use it to gather up hundreds of thorny tumbleweeds in my backyard. It works great for that.

Exactly what I needed - strong , well-made fork with comfortable shaped wooden handle - perfect replacement for an older one that rusted out after 15-20 years of saltwater exposure while shellfishing - that's what I use the new one for - I've attached a small net to the top that I can use to scoop up bay scallops or oysters in water deeper than arm length - and I use the fork end to rake up quahogs and to hoist up oysters off the sea bottom.

A great basic, sturdy garden tool. Seems well built like it will last many years. The smaller size is great for working in the narrow spaces of a small home garden. The handle is strong and long enough to reach pretty far.
