Since I had nothing in my house that need to be caulked in blue, I decided to fix a pot that had cracked. The tube went in to the caulking gun easily but, since I am not a very hand person, getting it to open was a challenge. I finally got it and the product spread easily. It dried quickly and the pot is now ready to be planted. I would definitely recommend.

Ames makes a great product that does exactly what it says and judging by the quality of the substance I believe it will last many years. I was having water and moisture issues in my basement, I completing many steps to prevent it. We did exterior grading, gutter repair, repairing some masonry work, and replacing some rotted wood from past moisture. After all that effort you can imagine we wanted to seal up the cement really well and maintain the effectiveness of our work and that's what Ames did. It sealed up patches, holes and cracks. The tube sealant was really handy to fill in cracks that I knew may expand and paired up perfectly with the paintable Ames blue max sealant. The rubber is so thick and impenetrable you will be impressed AND amazed with how effective this product is! Another really great thing about the sealant is it paints really well, so eventhough it's super blue, even light primer will cover and coat it really nicely for a great result.

This was my first time using this product. I used it on my roof along a gutter to seal a gap that was allowing water to escape and drip down the inside part of the gutter. It proved to be easy to use, easy to clean up (water based), and overall easy to deal with. This would be a great product to seal cracks or gaps where you don't want water to get into. It adheres to just about anything and has minimal shrinkage. Once dry it can be painted if need be. I'm very satisfied with it.

Thank you for the great review. If Blue Max is exposed to the sun, it needs to be top coated with water based paint or one of our other products because it is UV sensitive, AmesWaterproofing

I don't have any complains about sealant quality. It lays smooth and seals all cracks nicely. It looks as it doesn't shrink so far. It can be used on different materials including concrete, cement, brick, wood, steel, rolled roofing, foam, ets. It's mold resistant and paintable. Another big benefit is it's VERY EASY TO CLEAN OUT or to correct while it fresh! It's easy washed out from hands and surfaces unlike other sealants I used before ( but only before it's dry out). What I don't like is an inner foil that must be punctured after cutting a nozzle. At first I didn't suspect the present of the foil and I was surprised when sealant start coming a wrong direction. Then I couldn't find an instrument to make a hole - my screwdriver was too big for the nozzle opening and I don't have long nails on hands. The nail must be at least 2,5 inches while I had only 2 inches screws. It was irritating. Also I'm not very happy about the collar. I thought it will be light blue. But it turns the collar is an intense dark blue. Still I need to admit that the sealant quality itself is outstanding and it's easy to work with.

I’ve used Ames Blue Max 10 oz. Blue All-Purpose Latex Multipurpose Sealant for various projects. I picked it up again this time to seal various areas of a newly built shed I added to the back yard. As you can see in the pictures there are lots of areas on the shed to be sealed. This stuff works and I appreciate that it can be painted over and not be noticeable.

So far it is very easy to use. I am using this in a standard caulking gun. I had a crack appear in the block wall in front of my house. I got this to keep the rain from going inside the wall and making it worse. I cut the end of the nozzle as small as it would go to reduce waste. Also FYI, this skimmed over in about 30 seconds so there is not much time to work with it. I was working in direct sun and about 90 degrees with very low humidity in Florida. After I filled the crack and got the excess off, I let it dry for about an hour before I painted over with elastomeric paint. Clean up was easy with soap and water

I have had this pool for about thirty five years and over that time it has developed some minor leaks around the inlet and outlet lines. I chose this product to seal those leaks, I cleaned the areas in question and applied this rubberized product to them. As you can see from the photos I no longer have an issue with leaks. I am not the best a caulking but I achieved the desired affects. It comes out of the tube smoothly and adheres to the surface.

I had a project that called for a special caulk, one that was dependable, easy to use, long lasting and most important waterproof when dry; This Blue Max is actually a rubberized caulk and will work great. I built a sunroom onto the back of my house and from day one I had a leak. It took me some time to locate the problem and it turned out to be water blowing in under the storm door. I needed to add a piece of treated wood under the door to keep the weather strip from blowing in and allowing water to enter..

I got the Blue Max 10 oz. Blue All-Purpose Latex Multipurpose Sealant to use on the side door to my garage floor sill that starting to leak rain water in again. Previous sealer must have dried out, so I'll clean up the old caulk and reseal with this blue stuff. It's a elastomeric liquid rubber filler and sealant that's good for floors, and shower pans so it should keep the water out.

I have a rock wall that meets the concrete in my garage. If I get more then an inch of rain water leaks into the garage. We had 16 days of rain this month but once it dried I tried the Ames Blue Max 10 oz. Blue All-Purpose Latex Multipurpose Sealant. It’s raining again today and so far the floor is dry. If it holds back the water it would be perfect in cracks also. I just wish it wasn’t blue in color.
