What is the best way to cut this material to fit between the rafters in my den?
Asked by: Dashoe
Several ways. Hot knife is the cleanest and most expensive. 2) table saw and cans of expandable foam to fill the gaps. Put our shop vac on the end of the table saw. 3. hold the piece up against the rafter channel and cut it with an aggressive handsaw using the other rafter as a guide. Caulk or foam as needed. Best: Unless space is critical, use high density fiberglass batts, then cover the whole rafter and glass with 1/2" foil faced polyisoscyanurate

Can I use this product on a grade cement floor? Its for a condo. All floors are cold. If so do I put a vapor barrier under this? Can I put laminate flooring right over the rigid boards?
Asked by: SteveK
No you cant put down a plywood subfloor right on top of concrete as the second answer says. You need a vapor barrier on the floor first. then the plywood on top. Then this product on top of that.

How would this product be installed (fastened) to a basement wall of concrete blocks, and, to a wall with gypsum board on it?
Asked by: Chopper
For drywall - Insulation fasteners-they are circular plastic washers that are the size of a quarter or larger. The center has a hole for drywall screws, so its like a collar or washer and the drywall screw keeps it pushing down on a 1" or greater circle on the panel. There are different types so check them out and see if you can get a size of washer/drywall or other type if screw combo that works for your project. -for cement-you can use adhesive or same idea as drywall mounting but may need both-like mount the corners and middle and adhesive bead over the rest.
