This is not our best product for this - very low Acoustic numbers Please look at the SilveRboard Acoustic kit -SB12AKIT- Certified STC and the best acoustic foam numbers in the market (STC19). Good Luck,
Yes-this product will work to reduce heat gain from the sun. I would put the grooved side up to allow for air circulation between the plywood and the foam . Simplest Install: It can be glued to the underside of the roof deck between the joists but needs to be held in place for a few minutes while the glue sets up. Best products are either PL Fast Grab or STO Turbostick . Good luck HC
This is good insulation, but it is not sheathed on either side, and may provide shelter for critters or bugs. It is actually designed to go under a slab. Of even more importance is what size your floor joist bays are, and how much cutting (and waste) you might have to do to get this fit in between the floor joists. I think I would use either batts of mineral wool already cut to 14.5 inches wide, which will fit between joists, or use a 4x8 panel of 2-inch thick thick closed cell, foil-sheathed EPS, which will have much less waste when cutting it to fit.
Yes, they will work perfectly- best attachment method is glue and screw if possible - but this will very much depends on the thickness of the door and track style . When you attach the boards to the existing door they may need to be chamfered (angle cut ) on the top and bottom edges to allow the leaves of the door to follow the track as it opens and closes . Good Luck, HC
The channels face the wall and are there or allow moisture drainage.
Yes- this product has zero VOCs and food SAFE. . Please check the on line MSDS Good Luck HC
I would do it, It will be more expense but would pay off in time.I also like putting a radiant barrier on top of the insulation as I deal with Florida heat.Good Luck
