A: I installed this door myself on our house. We have three of these doors. My doors have top and bottom closets, and in my experience wind has not caused this problem for me. What has caused the brace/hinge on mine to be bent is someone unfamiliar with this type of closing system. A guest attempted to force door closed when I had depressed button to hold door open while I was making multiple to bring groceries inside. That bent hinge/brace which I was able to straighten out and have had no further problem
A: Exchange the door for another brand. Anderson manufactures poor quality doors. I?ve gone through 3 doors in 1 year due to defects.
