If you want a white door, do not buy this door. It is not white despite the description and can’t be painted. So extremely disappointed because this was not a cheap door and we are stuck with something that doesn’t match the rest of our house

The door arrived damaged - the hinges were scraped, dinged, and had bends. The trim kit/lock set was damaged - scraped and bent with crushed screw holes - looked to have been run over. We taped the door closed - where it stayed taped and our home unlocked for an entire week.  Despite, going to store, calling and emailing, customer service was near non-existent. We basically have a the nicest door available from Home Depot, that should have been sold as a dent/ding off the back of the truck.

Anderson windows and doors are the best.

I will never again order a custom quality item from The Home Depot. Bought a $5,700 quality Andersen door. It arrived damaged (screen bent with holes in it, main door lock assembly bent and un-installable). Customer service was impossible, unhelpful, and has offered no compensation for the damaged show piece in my home. Buy screws and grass seed at Home Depot, not items that require professionalism.

I've been building and remodeling for 52 years. One of the most frustrating areas has been finding quality doors: both interior and exterior. This is my second Andersen door of this type. I have used their widows but figured the doors were a little pricey. I am working on my last project prior to retiring, and it is my own home. I tried to save some money and ordered a double door setup from Therma-Tru. It struck me as a low-end door that we might put in a rental we expected to get beaten up and replaced after a few years. It had a very poor-quality multi point lock for the stationery door, that didn't even look finished Everything about it said not high quality. So since I had installed one of these before I decided to spend the extra money, but got a pretty good deal sending it out to the bid room through my Pro account. I got the multi-point lock, because that is a beast and very, very hard to break into. Even better, because it locks so solidly there is virtually no air infiltration. The hinges are substantial and are very adjustable using and allen wrench. Mine took a good deal of adjustment, but when finished the fit was near perfect. And such a solid feeling when you lift the lever to lock the door. The fiberglass layer is thick, unlike the Therma-Tru. The glass is energy-saving and with a hot sun coming through I could tell a definite difference between this and the Therma-Tru.. And unlike the Therma-Tru, that had a standard, cheap aluminum threshold, this has a very substantial threshold. I have to say, just in case you hadn't noticed, I really like the door. And you might think I have a grudge against Therma-Tru. Far from it. The door off the master bath out to the hot tub is a Therma-Tru, but not their low-end door. And the door off the laundry room also is a Therma-Tru. Their problem is that they have different levels of quality, and sometimes you think you are getting something decent and it is not at all. Fortunately, Andersen sticks with high quality, but you do pay for it. I might have removed a $2200 double door, and likely will put for sale online at half that price, but now I have something I both like and know will last a lot of years.

Very nice door with nice features such as the locking mechanism and style. I believe price reflects quality.
