I read the review concerning the glass shattering and thought about it.
I don't know what happened but WE have four of these doors in our home. They are very sturdy and efficient. The only problem we have had is with bird strikes! Some of the time they were dazed but usually they were dead. Moving the feeders farther away from the house solved this for the most part.
I can understand the frustration. While moving, the kitchen window was struck by a rock. you might be able to see the chip in the picture. That was 2 summers ago. The window is still sealed!

Home Depot great, Anderson glass junk!
Don't buy this door! If you ever have piece glass get bumped it'll spiderweb and cost you almost 900 bucks to fix! You can not replace glass on these doors! You must replace the whole door panel! What a complete design to rip you off! I switched from spells for one purchase and see where it got me!! I'll tell everyone I know with homes to stay away from Anderson. You just earned a huge Detractor!!! I'm going to post the picture on every remodeling site I come across!
