    Answer This Question

Yes, it can. If it is the typical 10OZ. tube of caulk it will fit.

If the tube will fit I don't see why not. I do know some landscape adhesives come in much bigger tubes so you would need a bigger gun for those applications.

    Smooth Hex Caulk Gun
This is a fantastic choice for caulk gun. The Hex bar of the gun provides both a smooth operation and incredibly strong. This gun is by far above and beyond the “regular” caulk gun that you can get at a hardware store. I have had many caulk guns over the years and this is the strongest and smoothest that I have used. It has all of the same features of other guns but is strong and durable

Not the typical caulk gun in that it feels fairly sturdy- night lightweight metal. It has a nice, built in tube tip trimmer that works well. Once you have trimmed the tip of the tube of caulk you can then use the swing out piercing tool that is under the main barrel. This works to puncture the seal inside the tip of the tube. Works best if you jab it through a few times. The spring in the handle does a good job of keeping the rod pressure on the caulk as you squeeze, but backs off on the pressure when you release. This keeps it from continuing to squeeze out when you don't want it to.

This is my first Anvil product and I'm impressed with this item. It seems well built and sturdy. I have two other caulk guns that are just your typical caulk guns. This one has more features. For example, it has a built in spout cutter and a nozzle clean out tool (see pics), both of which come in handy. I have been using nails, wire, etc as clean out tools, so for me a built in nozzle clean out tool is a great feature! This gun is also dripless. It has a smooth squeeze and a comfortable grip. Additionally it has a ladder hook. This has become my favorite caulk gun!

Easy to use. Easy to install the caulk tube. It provides a sturdy snuggly fit. It provides the pressure of the caulk tube not to Move around and easy to release when it is done. There is no dripping. The frame itself is bigger than the cheaper caulk guns out there but even though it is bigger it is not hard to handle. It is very smooth to use. After using, it is easy to clean up as well. This is the second one I own.

Awesome caulk gun! First one I’ve ever seen with an attached little tool to unclog the nozzle of my saved tubes and also to break the seal on new ones. I usually end up grabbing a long nail or bending a paperclip to do this and having a little device attached is a huge upgrade for simplicity. Just spin it out to use and then back. One of those little things that makes projects a bit easier! The flat design makes it simple to store with all my other painting/caulking supplies, which is nice. Loading the caulk tube and then caulking is easy. Very comfortable handle. Great upgrade over my old caulk gun.

The Anvil 10 oz smooth hex rod caulk gun has a simple, no frill design and a very smooth trigger. The gun itself is very well constructed and feels just right in the hand - not too heavy nor too light. The first thing I noticed was how smooth it is to operate the hex. It makes it very easy to load the cartridges and also allows for a precise application of caulk or sealant. This is my go-to caulk gun and I would recommend it to anyone.

Anvil Hex Rod Caulking Gun is a stout and great upgrade from the flimsy half round types. It has a drip free feature (spring allows rod to retract and not keep pushing out caulk that is under pressure). Great for low viscosity (thick) caulks. Frame is sturdy, easy to operate and has a swing out piercing pin. Caulk tube tips can be cut off in the convenient hole at the handle with the "blade" attached to the squeeze handle. Great, simple design that will last many years.

I really like this caulk gun. It's light and very easy to use. The best feature is that the plunger does not have the typical notches that move the plunger but utilizes a plastic like washer that stops pushing caulk out once you release pressure on the trigger. I don't know how many times on a typical gun I have had to reach over with my free hand to twist the plunger around to stop the flow even after releasing the trigger. Also, on the body of this gun is a handy ,swing out piercing wire to start your caulk flowing.

Anvil 10 ounce caulk gun is definitely a good caulk gun to have. This one will replace my old one and is very durable and will last for some time. Good features on this gun like the caulk tube tip cutter built into the handle, the unclog rod attached on the underside of the gun and the caulk tube front cut out makes it easy to install and remove caulk tubes. The push rod works really well to, and slides back and forth without ratcheting.

This caulk gun is a "step above"most inexpensive caulking guns. It is well made with thicker materials than some I have owned. The plunger rod has an enclosed spring mechanism that is easily pulled when loading cartridges. The trigger assembly is heavy duty and long enough to get a lot of leverage on the cartridge. This allows you to reuse those caulk cartridges that have become hard . The built in wire under the body swivels out and lets you puncture the caulk cartridge to start the flow.
