3-Piece Wood Handle Garden Tool Set

My basic garden tools from season's past weren't cutting it anymore, and it was tike to upgrade. This 3 piece set includes 2 hand shovels and a cultivator. Made of durable steel and a heavy duty wood handle, I'm hoping this set will last me for years to come. So far if hasn't disappointed and has helped me with my spring gardening and weeding. I got this Anvil Garden Tool Set to do all of my spring planting. The 3 piece set comes with a trowel, cultivator, and transplanter. The cultivator works wonders on my raised bed garden. From pulling weeds to just cultivating the ground. It works well with turning over the soil. The trowel is a small wide hand shovel that can dig out a larger hole and then the back side is not as curved to allow you to smooth out the ground and dirt The transplanter is the perfect size for digging a hole for your garden plants. It even has the depth in inches and centimeters on the shovel part that let's you know how deep you are digging. All 3 pieces are made of a heavy duty steel. The handle is a solid hardwood and has a drilled hole and a leather loop to enable you to hang your tools in the garage or shed. Anvil has manufactured a well made product. I would highly recommend.

The 3 piece Anvil wood handle garden tool set is a quality set. The handle shafts are wielded to the tool blade, not riveted. The wood handles could have a little more shape or larger knobs at the ends to reduce chance of slipping but with grippy gloves should not be a problem.(reduce 1 star for this reason). The handles have a leather loop through it to hang the tool when not using, a great feature. The narrow shovel also has engraves measurements to take the guess work out of planting bulbs or other vegetables. Over all a great set i will use and enjoy.

With spring in the near future that means planting and transplanting as we try to get our yard looking nice. I have a set of garden tools, but needed a second set for my wife and kids when they help. It was getting old having to share one trowel or transplanter. These Anvil wood handle garden tools work great. I put them next to our current tools and you can see the sizes are very similar. The anvil handles are symmetrical all the way around which can be nice as you switch grips in digging or transferring. I don't typically use a cultivator much, but it is a great toy for my younger kids to play in the mulch and not get in the way to much. I like the marks on the trowel for figuring out depth when digging, but they could have a been a little deeper so they would stand out more and be easier to see. Overall, I like these tools and think they will work great this spring!

The Anvil 3-piece wood handle set was a perfect addition to my gardening tools. Unlike other sets I had purchased, I was really impressed with the sturdy construction of the Anvil brand, especially the quality and sturdiness of the metal. I also liked the fact that each tool came with a strong, leather strap to conveniently hang the tools above the workbench in my greenhouse. The wood handles are contoured for a firm grip and each tool is about a foot long and the right size for handling most small gardening jobs.

These Anvil tools make me actually want to garden! The tools are a great weight, quality, and the solid wood handle is easy to grip. The shovel and transplanter cut through icy dirt very easily. I am certain the transplanter tool would easily cut through small roots making it easy to move garden plants around. The trowel (shovel) made quick work of digging a small hole and the cultivator tool (small rake) was solid enough and I feel it loosed the top of the soil without any issue. The weather at my home isn't quite warm enough to start planting again, but any day now I cannot wait to plant some small perennials around my oak tree ring. The tools have a functional hole for hanging up on a garage/shed peg board or simply store them in a garden caddy. The metal is strong, and I appreciate that the edges are sharp but not dangerously so. Enjoy planting!

I have a couple gardens that are a long always apart and I use these tools all the time. The two different shovel sizes work great for different situations you get into. The rake real works the soil for you in small environments. The tools do have a coating that is a rough coating, I'm not sure what the coating is, but appears to be durable. The welds are better than some I have had in the past that break at the weld. Time will tell if these welds hold. The narrow shovel has measurement marks on it so you have depth gauge for planting.

My old garden spade and transplanting tool ended up getting bent in some hard Georgia clay in my yard. These tools seem to be a lot sturdier than those old ones, though, and I'm excited to use them more in the yard. The handles feel good in the hand. The tools themselves are a painted metal, which leads me to believe they are not stainless, so I recommend making sure they are nice and clean after each use, especially once the paint coating starts to come off. Once this happens, it might be a good idea to put a bit of oil on them after cleaning and drying them just to prolong their life. Overall, though, these tools look great and I look forward to using them.

The handle fits comfortably in the gloved hand. The face of the spade has gradients in in/cm for placing the bulb/seed at the correct depth. I foresee many years of service from my Anvil trio.
