It broke 5 mins in to it.
This rake broke 5 minutes into raking my yard. The plastic is thin. The handle seems sturdy but the plastic simply cracked all the way in half. Other rakes similar to this style have held up throughout the years but this one is the worst so far...

    Standard leaf rake
This is a fairly standard leaf rake. The tines stretch 19 inches across. The handle, at 64 inches, is longer than my existing rake. I look forward to the extra reach I’ll get with the longer handle. I did expect it to be wider, but it does match the description. I also wonder if tines will come out over time because of the design, but only time will tell.

    Nice rake
I have a low-grow/no-mow fescue lawn in my front and side yards and find that using a metal rake gets into the grass much better than a vinyl/plastic rake when it comes to removing thatch and deep clean up. This particular rake is very comfortable in-hand and I expect it will be easy to use in my lawn as well. I also prefer that it is screwed onto the handle vs. riveted so I can replace the handle easily, if necessary. I look forward to using it once the weather cools down, hoping to prevent too much stress on my lawn before winter.

    Great for fall cleanup
If you need an inexpensive rake for general yard work this one fits the bill. Sturdy wood handle and all metal tines, this will pile up your fall leaves with ease. This is not the rake for turning the ground, however if you're raking up dead grass or leaves then this will do the job. Handle is a good length and thickness, and the plastic head that holds the tines is lightweight for ease of use.

Not good for raking small leaves or grass clippings.
The metal tines on Anvil’s “20 in. Poly Steel Wood Handle Leaf Rake” are too flexible and have too much space between them to collect small leaves without requiring repeated raking over the same area. It’s OK on larger leaves or piles of yard debris, but why compromise? There are other rakes with a more effective design, like Anvil’s own “24 in. Poly Wood Handle Leaf Rake” shown for comparison in the last picture. It’s too soon to tell how durable this steel rake will be, but I’m concerned. Each tine snaps into place in a small slot in the plastic frame. I could see the plastic wearing and the tines pulling out after a while. See pic where I purposely removed one tine for sake of example. It should be OK for light duty. Model # 77845-949

Broke very first time using it
Completely snapped within minutes of using it, and that was me being careful!

        Bad and cheap
Purchasing this rake is a mistake. Didn’t last twenty minutes. Home depot you need to look at what your selling. What are you thinking. If you want to make some money sell a better rake.

Broke During First Use Raking Leaves
Was excited to rake leaves but halfway through raking leaves the plastic broke making thr rake useless.

            Cheap handle
This is the second time we really used this rake to pick up the fallen leaves in the yard. We got half way through the back yard and the handle snapped in two. Trying to figure out whether we can get a refund.
